Ashten is average height, about 5 ft 7'' and has tanning pale skin. She has shoulder long get black hair that have light blond highlights. Her eyes are deep gray and she has high cheek bones like her sister. Her shoulders are small and elegant, giving her a very graceful look.

Ashten can normally be seen wearing a solid black outfit. A black shirt, pants and knee-high black hunting boots.
On weekends she normally wears a loose white cotton shirt and a pair of black pants. She's always wearing her boots however. She is not fat, but quite the opposite. She is very skinny, as she hardly every eats. She has light brown freckles on her checks and has a small nose.

Some of Ash's flaws are that she is very secluded. Much like her sister, she doesn’t like people getting into her personal life. She is quite and attentive, but not afraid to speak her mind if angered. She usually keeps her anger to herself, but can sometimes snap. Another one of Ash's flaws is that she is a horrible market dealer. When it comes to haggling prices and things like that, Ashten is horrible at it. She gets tongue tied and stutters.

When her parents died, Ashten took over the house hold. She worked everyday to get food put on the table. She barley keeps up with her school work, and is very quiet in class. At lunch she sits with a group of friends, but rarely engages into the the actual conversation. Ash dose her best to get good grades and be a older sister for her two younger siblings, but it is hard for her to do all things at once.

At worst Ashten is snappy and rude, but at her best she is quite and kind. She loves her family fiercely, and wont' let anything get between her and them. She may ignore her brother and sister, and not spend a lot of time with them, but she tries to do her best. She can be sarcastic at times, but mostly she is very truthful. She also doesn’t mind hurting people to defend her loved ones.

Ashten's parents were killed in a factory fire on her eighteenth birthday. When they died, Ash was heartbroken. If there had been anyone else that would have taken care of her younger siblings, she would have let them, gladly. But when no one came to get them, she realized that she was on her own. She started learning how to read and write at the age of three, so that wasn't a problem for her. She has one little brother and one little sister. Her sister's name is Lily Freewing and her brother's is Alex Freewing. She doesn’t really have a bond with either of them. She tries to bond with them, but just makes thing worse. At age thirteen, she realized that she had a passion for writing, and took to it like a bird.

Forced to take over the house after her parents death, Ash has been taking every little job she can to get food on the table, even if it means eating wild flowers from the Meadow. The main thing she like to do though, is write poems for people. She thinks her poetry is horrid, but is glad to sell to people to get money.

Her little sister almost died a week after her parents death, and she was forced to stay home to take care of her. Ash is currently working as a seamstress at home and a poem writer. She hates sowing, but it is one of her talents. She has so many jobs that she has, in a way, lost connection with her siblings. Her little brother claims that she is trying to act like a mom, and doesn’t listen to her, making Ashten's life 10x harder. Ashten tries to bond and connect with them, but she can't find the time between cleaning, sowing and her many other little jobs.
