Sphene's body has little cuts and scars all over. She has wavy brown hair that goes down all the way to her back. Her tanned skin and her light hazel brown eyes, together with her long lashes, may let you perceive that she's not from where she really is. She stands 5"6 in height and her approximate weight would not go over 55 kg.

She often wears shirts and sweaters, never tank tops. She wears shorts that go just above/ below the knee, no more and no less, except for jeans. Her beauty is 'exotic', as they say, and few in her district have the same skin tone as hers. She looks just like her mother, as her father would say, and a lot of people older than her often complement her for the beauty she has.

She doesn't see much of her parents, given that her mother died giving birth to her and her father is one of the districts' wealthiest, and busiest, people. She has no siblings and lives alone with her father in their big house. She trains constantly, day after day, and is skilled at archery and in handling knives. She doesn't lack skills on hand-to-hand combat as well.

Her best friend, Azurite, is a quiet person that doesn't talk much. She's pretty and is a rebel. Her parents are negotiators and her brother studies luxury items. They met on the first day training and were together ever since. They share secrets, like what most best friends do, and go to each others houses, and camp on each others' backyard. They were pretty normal best buds, aside from the fact that they could kill and/or take anyone down.

Sphene doesn't really hate the games. She dislikes the fact that innocent children are being forced to fight against each other for survival but she thinks of the Games as a challenge. For her, the Games help you showcase your talent, build your skills and, to train you for battle. She's not really worried if her name gets reaped because she's trained for this and she knows that she's more than ready. She often thinks that the odds would always be in her favor,given that she's a career tribute. She's pretty reluctant and has no doubts about the games whatsoever.

But if there's one thing that leads Sphene into all kinds of trouble, it's overconfidence.
