Ginny has curly, black hair that she hates having to work with, often simply letting it tangle. Her eyes are a shade of golden-brown, and she has a very fair complexion. She is fairly petite, but curvy, and hates when people call her short.
She prefers wearing black to brighter colors, only wearing them when asked to by her family- and even then she does so grudgingly.
As a child Ginny was short and a bit chubby, but as she's grown older she's grown into herself more. She dosen't think of herself as "pretty" or "attractive", though, and prefers not to focus on her appearance, doing the bare minimum to get ready for each day.

Ginny could be called goth, or punk, but that wouldn't really be true. She has few friends (more enemies) and watching the Games prefers to laugh at the deaths, hoping that if she pretends everything is fine it will be. She gets along well with her stepmother Adelaide, but is always wondering what her real mother was like. Her stepbrother Blade is a different story- the two get along extremely well.
She pretends to be okay with it, but is always thinking about how different her life would have been if her twin had survived. She is terrified of fires, and very insecure on the inside, though she tries not to let it show through. But if someone manages to "thaw her out", so to speak, she's the most loyal friend they'll have. Ginny has become skilled at hiding her emotions, but once in a while she'll let herself show through- she can be funny and sweet (though most of the time she, well, isn't.)

Ginny was born to a happy, normal District Two family- as a twin.
But just after her third birthday, her whole life changed.
Ginny was fussing, so her father took her for a walk, leaving her mother and twin sister.
While they were out, the heating system malfunctioned.
Her mother and sister were killed instantly in a burst of flames.
She's never been the same.
When Ginny was six, her father remarried. Her new stepmother, Adelaide Campry, had one child- a eight-year-old boy named Blade. Though he was quiet, and she was a drama queen, he instantly bonded with Ginny. When Ginny was eight, she was in the District school. One day she was packing her things after the school day had ended when she heard some of the other girls- laughing. Look at her. Ugh. Why does she wear that black all the time? She doesn't even have any friends. I heard she doesn't even have a real mom.
That was the last straw for Ginny. She slammed her desk shut and began to scream at the girls. She was about to slap one of them when the teacher walked in.
Ever since she's been a loner, never really accepted by the other girls.
Now she trains every day for the Hunger Games, each year stepping up a second too late.
Adelaide was wealthy, and Ginny lives a life of luxury, but each night she has nightmares-
seeing the flames burst through the air and knowing her mother and sister were inside.
