Standing at 4'10", Maiya would definitely be considered to be relatively shorter than many of the older children in District 2. Try as she may, she hasn't started growing yet, and will be shorter than many for at least a year. She weighs 107 lbs, giving her a healthy weight in comparison to her height.

Her skin is pale, and easily sunburns and gains moles. There are light colored freckles on her cheeks as well. Her hair is a desaturated black tone, similar to a raven, which she despises. Her eyes are a dark brown tone.

She tends to dress in causal clothes, preferring to don sweatpants over skirts, etc. Formal clothes consist of frilly dresses, which she despises. Pajamas are fluffy, and always accompanied with her teddy bear, Freckles.
