Luk Brookstein is of average height. He has stopped growing, maintaining a 5'9" stature. He's of an average weight as well, being around 160 lbs. Luk has a lightly tanned skin from traveling to and fro. His feet are large, as he wears a size 10 shoes. His hands are also on the larger end of the spectrum, causing some people to be a tad bit intimidated by him.

Luk's natural hair color is a light auburn. He usually has some darker, redder highlights in his hair, to add some personality to it. His hair is wavy, but when it's wet or long, turns much frizzier than would be expected. Therefore, he gets his hair cut short. He parts his hair to the side, causing a unique wave to appear, which adds to his easily recognizable face.

Luk has hazel-colored eyes. When closely viewed, which only rarely happens, it can be described as a hue that is closer to a golden than green. Luk's nose is an average length, there is a bump in the middle of his nose, which causes his nose to look slightly curved. His mouth has been slightly altered to be given a more "appealing" shape.

Luk is a very happy-go-lucky sort of character. He constantly has a smile on his face. He's very optimistic. He's always telling his team to hope for the best. But even though things don't always turn out as planned, he almost always is able to figure out a way to make is co-workers smile.

Luk can be serious though. When he's jotting down notes, or contemplating his surroundings, he has a unique expression on his face that can only be described as fierce. It's very hard to talk to him while he's in this "uber-serious mode", as his co-workers call it. He gets so absorbed in his work that he sometimes loses track of the time, or gets lost. But soon he finds his teammates, and is back to his happy self.

In front of the camera, Luk combines these two traits that he has to create a professional-like personality that appeals to viewers. His quirky characteristics are noted by many. In fact, he has enough flair and panache to become close to a household name in the Capitol. His serious retelling on tragedies and his entertaining take on odder stories may soon make him a favorite among television news reporters.

But he can be completely different at times. This side of Luk only appears in times of severe stress or when he's alone. He breaks down. He starts to have a nervous tick, which consists of shaking his leg. He screams a bit at whoever is annoying him, and then almost starts to cry. However, Luk can control that to a degree so normally he never reaches that stage.

Luk Brookstein was born in the Capitol to a stylist and a jewelry store owner. He was surrounded by luxurious jewels, cosmetic surgery and fabrics. Every day, his mother would don some heavy diamond necklaces, and his father would apply blush, and the two would go out for an evening of frolic and fun. They almost never talked to their son. Instead, they hired a nanny who abused her alcohol privileges. Luk was always put in front of the TV, where he always watched the news.

He loved the news. He wanted to tell everyone what was going on in Panem. He wanted to travel to the districts, to experience all kinds of phenomena. He wanted to tell the Capitol everything that was going on in the world. And he knew that he wanted to be a news reporter.

Graduating from high school, Luk excelled in creative writing and history. Teachers were astounded at how much he knew on those subjects. Of course, the history course was biased, but none of the teachers dared to admit that. Besides, few kids even imagined a world outside the capitol. But Luk wanted to travel. He was seen as odd by his classmates, but he was following his dream.

He got a job in a minor news channel. It was a small job, but gradually he worked his way up the career ladder to become a news reporter. As of now, he is gathering fellow co-workers to create a team of reporters who will hopefully travel all over Panem, reporting about stories that will hopefully seem interesting to Capitolites.
