Orson has a slightly tall height for his age standing at 5ft 10inches. He has a weight of 152 pounds, a medium build for his height. His figure is muscular from lifting heavy objects around farmland. His skin has a slight tan but some of this is hidden with evidence of old bruises he has obtained.

His eyes are brown with spots that make people see endurance in them. He has a normally face which contains almost black eyebrows and soft pink lips. Orson's hair is a very dark brown that can appear black from a distance. It is thick and short. His hair naturally sticks up slightly but so little it is sometimes hardly noticable.

Coming from the second poorest district his clothing is forcibly simple. Usually a plain white, short sleeved t-shirt with a pair of plain black trousers. They may not be fashionable but he finds them confortable. With it he will usually wear a short black jacket. He has a pair of black, dirty trainers that he wears daily to go out onto the farmland. Orson doesn't really make an effort for special occaisons because he doesn't feel the need.

Orson is known to many near him in district 11 as the inapprochable one because of his shady demeanour. He is often seen during acts of aggression when others get in his way. It isn't that he can't befriend people but that he rarely trusts anyone enough to form that bond. Many around him he sees as a threat to the life he wants to live. One of his bigger hates is the Capitol for enclosing him in this district with no means of escape. The teenager blames them for keeping him near the people he despises.

One of the only things that calms his temper is his secret liking of art. It works as a relief mechanism for the teen and he can spend hours looking at and drawing artwork. Unlike many Orson can see messages in the pictures, messages that speak of hope and strength. Not many know of this as he is secretive of things he considers to be weaknessess if spread in public. However those he trusts enough to befriend know of his liking.

When he trusts someone enough to be friends with them he lets them see the vulnerable person beneath the shell. Many days he is frightened of the people who pass him in the street, that they will try to harm him like in the past. Orson shows loyalty to those who can see him for who he is and will protect them with the good strength he has. The teenager is strong from heavy lifting and could fight his way out of a situation like he does most days.

Orson Harper was born on August 6th in district 11, two years before his sister Trista. He weighed in at 8 pounds 2 ounces. His mother was a single parent and vowed to raise her son in the best manner possible. Growing into a toddler he was oblivious to the hardships of the district he lived in. He barely left the house and was raised with love by his mother who always played with him and told him stories from her imagination. The toddler version of him was smiley and happy, running around the house day by day. An early childhood many can relate to. It was when Orson went to school that his life and attitude took a drastic turn.

When Orson started school he entered the building with bright hope. This hope was soon crushed as many took a dislike to his slightly overpowering personality. It started with just a few people avoiding him which he hardly noticed but desperate to be with the crowd, more joined in the intimidation. This isolated the young boy from the rest of his class and he started to nurture a hate for his classmates and also the teachers, who never did anything to help.

He thought it would get better as he reached his second school but instead the bullying escalated. The bullies used to call him names but now they kicked and punched him on a regular basis and he would always come home to his mother with bruises on his body that they had given him. Orson tried to busy himself with his new job on a farmland next to his home but it didn't help and he started lashing out at the people around him to try and stop them bullying him. It was then that he discovered his liking for art and it helped him calm his temper around the people who mattered to him.

When he was 12 he took his first terassee. being in a single parent family there was not much income so it was his only option to keep him and his family in a constant supply of food. On the day of the reaping he wasn't scared about the possibility of being taken to the Capitol and being put in the arena. He believed he could fight the others off if he needed to. But this didn't matter anyway as his name wasn't picked out of the ball that year. Every year since he has took out terassee for him and his family but has had luck at the reapings even as his number of entries increases.

Now he is 17 and in his last years of being entered into the reaping. He has kept his part time job on the farmland and it gives him money to buy extra food but also pay towards other essentials that would otherwise be impossible for him to obtain. Orson still has few friends but his temper has grown slightly calmer since his first years in his second school. Now it is coming closer to the next reaping hia attention keeps drawing to the names in the ball.
