Heather is beautiful. And everyone thinks so. Especially for someone who herds cattle all day. She has lovely blond hair, that makes all the other District ten girls jealous. She doesn't get split ends or anything. And all the boys love her. But for the wrong reasons. They love her because she's tall, she's skinny, she's fit. She hardly ever breaks a sweat, for some reason, while everyone else pours sweat while herding cattle in the fields. She has the eyes of her mother and her dad always tells her that. Her mother doesn't think so, though. She is, in short, very pretty.

However, she wishes to be loved for who she is, not how she is. And this is what stemmed her stubborness. She is extremely stubborn because she wants to be loved for her. But no one realizes it...Everyone thinks she's just stubborn because she's beautiful and wants attention. And it really irks her. But she is far from open about it. She doesn't know if she ever will find love, but until she does she will always long for it.

Heather has lived a normal life for a farm girl. She has a mother and a father with a great relationship, she has awesome friends, and even great siblings that barely ever fight with each other. But behind all the happiness, the great family, there is a little bit of a bad side. Her uncle, her mother's brother, went crazy. He completely snapped. Her uncle had known Ruby Georges really well, and when she was killed during the Games, he snapped. He tied a noose around his neck, and tied the other end of the rope to a horse, and told the horse to run. So he hung himself in a very painful and drastic way. Heather and the rest of her family became very sad about this, but Heather was the last to move on. She still clings to the fact that if she had been reaped instead of Ruby, maybe her uncle would still be alive.
