Appearance.

Blaike's hair is a forcibly straightened sea of gold. If it wasn't flat ironed, it would probably stand out in every direction, despite the fact that it is far too long to stand out on it's own. Her hair extends about five inches past her shoulders at most, and has for years because if it gets any longer, she chops it off. Regardless of her family's constant nagging, she chooses to let her bangs stay in her face, and usually her hair is down rather than in a pony tail.

A child like facial structure is something Blaike never grew out of. Her jaw line stayed rounded and prominent, and her chin became a square with soft curves.

Her medium sized eyebrows gradually point downward starting about half way across, until they are no more. In color, they match her golden hair. Her arch isn't an over the top one that looks ridiculous, but a soft curve instead.

Blaike's eye color is a deep seductive brown. They are shaped as if they were made from large almonds. The size of her eyes makes he look unique. They make her look child like, yet mature. The one thing that almost everybody thinks about her eyes is that they are stunning. The size and shape combination makes her look almost foreign, as if she were an alien.

freckles appear very lightly both under her eyes, and on her nose. Her nose begins very straight and narrow. as it develops, it grows rounder, and the end of it is pointed up slightly. Combine this with her round facial structure, and she looks like a baby again.

Her lips are always a soft pink. In fact, she only coats them in clear gloss when she does put make up on them. She likes look normal. Like an actual human.

Speaking of make up, Blaike usually sticks with natural looking products. She applies a light blush to her cheeks because give them a rosy glow. Her eyes are highlighted in mascara, and drawn out with a lightly applied powder. The only time she adds anything else is when her new mother coaxes her into it. (Which is incredibly rare.)

Height has never been a friend nor foe to Blaike. Meaning she has always been an average eight. For now she stands at 5'6, but she is sure she'll grow another inch or two. Weight has definitely been kind to her through the years, however. She weighs a small 103 lbs. She has always been small in weight, most probably because of her deprived childhood.

Clothes are something that Blaike has always loved, but hasn't always had the money to afford. She has an amazing sense of fashion, no doubt. Choosing mid-thigh dresses, or skirts rather than blue jeans. When she does wear a shirt it has to say something funny or sarcastic. If not, she refuses to wear it. She trades in sneakers for anything with a high heel. Also most of her wardrobe is made up of her favorite colors. Vibrant greens, electric blues, and seductive reds are mostly what you see when you open her closet. Her jewelry can't be too flashy, or she thinks it looks tacky. She does always where the necklace her mother used to own. Her real mother.

Personality.

Blaike has a ton of interests. There is one that is stronger than any of her others though, and it is music. Music is what kept her from the edge of a building, or a handful of pills. It saved her. It also changed her. She was no longer the depressed girl who hated the world, she was a passionate musician. In the small time period of four years she has mastered both the Violin and the piano. She is currently working on the acoustic guitar. Her passion for music wasn't just with instruments, though. Her most talented instrument is her voice. She uses it well and a lot of people have said so.

Another one of Blaike's passions is animals. She has always had a way with animals, even as a child. They seemed to get her unlike most humans. She always knew exactly what was wrong when they began to complain. The problem was that she was never in a place where she could have an animal of her own. That has changed recently, because she now has a cat named "Sophie". Sophie is with Blaike the majority of the time, and when they are apart, Blaike constantly worries about her.

Blaike's other huge passion is for fashion. Regardless of the fact that she never really had money to spend on nice clothes until recently, she has always had the ability to make it seem like the clothes she did have were just as nice as anybody else's.

Blaike is an incredibly shy girl. Talking to people she doesn't know is an extreme discomfort. She isn't rude. When somebody talks to her, she talks back. She is just really quiet and answers with the minimum amount of words required. It takes time before she'll finally give in and be herself around somebody. The main reason she is so quiet now is because of the fact that she was scolded as a child for talking unless spoken to. It is definitely something she considers a flaw, and she is trying her best to work on it.

In school, her grades are spotless. She works hard for every A she gets. A feeling of relief washes over her face when she sees the nice grade, so she always strives to get it again. She likes feeling accomplished. She loves being able to be proud of herself, and to feel like, maybe she does matter. It really crushes her when her grades aren't perfect, so she applies herself 100%.

Crying is something that Blaike has forced herself to stop doing. She cried so much during her childhood that she never wants to do it again. She refuses to do it, and even when she does, she wont admit she is. Crying is pointless, and doesn't solve anybody's problems, you want something fixed, get up and fix it.

History.

Anani Blaike Lightwood was was born fifteen years ago on the date of May 12. Her family was perfect. They were wealthy even in District 1, and still managed to stay happy. Her mother, Kara, suffered from extreme complications after Blaike's birth, ruining any other chances she had at having more children. Brenden, her father, was okay with it. He didn't see why they needed more children anyway. The thing that concerned him was the constant struggle his wife now had to face. As the days, weeks, months, and years drug on, her complications grew stronger and stronger. By the time Blaike was four her mother's pain was so bad she had to stay in a hospital. No doctor could find the answer to the big question. The one that they all needed to know: What's wrong?

Eventually, with Blaike at the age of six, Kara passed away. To be honest, it didn't really bother Blaike very much. She'd only gotten to see her mother on weekends for the past two years, so their relationship wasn't as good as it could have been. Well, not to Blaike it wasn't. The person who did get hurt was Brenden. He'd known the day was coming, but never really wanted to say goodbye. He wasn't ready t. He shouldn't have had to be ready. Still, he also wasn't ready to accept the fact that he now had to raise a child all by himself. It took him a few days to finally do it, but once he did it, he didn't look back. He dropped Blaike off at what she thought was a friends house, and never returned.

Blaike didn't understand what was going on. After a few years of thinking her Daddy was going to come back she finally realized he wasn't. Living in the orphanage wasn't horrible. It just wasn't a home. It never would be. She wanted her old life back. The sad thing was even she knew she'd never get it.

At the age of twelve she was finally taken from the place she'd had all her bad dreams, and where all her tears had fallen, and she was a changed person. The world was to cold and cruel for the old her to take. She became what she'd always hated: a sullen person. She'd lost herself. It was too far away from her to ever find. Then, she found music, and it led her back. She became friendly, and even made friends. She became herself again.

Blaike promised herself she'd never be that other person again. EVER. She wanted to stay Anani Blaike Lightwood. She has done a wonderful job of it so far, and plans to keep it that way. /she has tried to find her father, but since the night at the orphanage, Brennen Lightwood has seemed to have disappeared from the face of the earth. To be honest, Blaike doesn't even know what she'd say if she did find him.
