Kilbey is a very large, well built boy who has never experienced starvation. His balanced diet and frequent exercise has given him a very strong build, large arms and chest in particular. He is able to lift heavy weights easier than most his age.

He has black skin, with no defects or deformities. His face is very smooth when shaven, being in his late teens he no longer suffers from spots, giving him an angelic look that can sometimes be haunting. He has a lazy eye that annoys him, he usually wears specially made glasses to counteract this. His hair is jet black, cropped very short in tiny corn rows. He sometimes leaves an amount of stubble on his chin to give him an older look.

Kilbey can be found to wear a variety of luxurious clothes, ranging from luscious silks to casual denims. Whatever he wears, it's usually to make an impression - His vanity the cause of this. He keeps a high standard of cleanliness and tries his best to be perfect at all times.

On face value, Kilbey is a very polite, respectful and pleasant young man. He talks with clear pronunciation and grammar, respecting his elders and betters. Due to his likability with older members of the District, he is frequently invited to upper-class parties and events. His humor and charisma have got him very far for his age.

Yet there is something dark and different about Kilbey. Behind the mask of manners is a twisted, demonic boy with a need for violence. Obsessed with keeping fit and strong, Kilbey's parents have trained him to be, like many in his district, a Career.

When he is not sipping champagne and enjoying the company of Capitol powers, he is busy pressing weights and improving in his talents of violence. He is determined, ruthless and downright brutal. He trains tirelessly to be strong of mind and soul.

He rarely speaks to people his age, as he finds the people he enjoys spending time with are that of a higher class than other District One teenagers. At school, Kilbey socializes, but only with one or two of the richer types. He wouldn't dare associate himself with anyone without wealth. He is one to stand his ground on what he believes, if confronted, he rarely backs down.

He suffers from claustrophobia, the fear of small spaces, caused mainly by living in large rooms his entire life, small rooms being unnatural to him. He never admits to his fear, nor does he like to show it, but it's a defect on his perfectness nonetheless.

He likes to train, he enjoys reaching his pain threshold. He also enjoys the many parties and events he goes to, despite being rather two-faced about it. Kilbey dislikes being wrong or out-of-place. More importantly, he hates being beaten - Not physically, he can take that - But being outsmarted.

Kilbey Zaha was born the only child of a very rich District 1 family. His parents, Eliphra and Zidan, were very proud of him and, him being the only child, spoiled him rotten. Zidan Zaha was a tycoon in the railway industry, leading projects to construct stations all across Districts One and Two leading into the lower districts.

Overwhelmed with wealth, little Kilbey had whatever he wanted. From a young age, his parents knew that they could never let such a precious child be entered into the Hunger Games. Yet it was mandatory. There was no avoiding it. Their golden boy would be entered whether they liked it or not.

So they liked it. They trained him, in case he ever was selected, so would the day come, he would be more than capable of winning. Little Kilbey grew faster than those around him, he was quicker, stronger. He trained vigorously. For his parents, it was for protection, for him, it was for glory. He wasn't doing this as a precaution, he had become devoted. He would be a victor someday. He sensed his destiny.

Kilbey's teenage years were filled with dieting and pressing weights. He was trained in the art of combat by a hired professional, taught survival skills and at the same time learned the knowledge he needed to survive socially. Simultaneously, the young man was invited to one of many parties.
