Rayna has straight brown hair that, on the insistence of her friends, she cut so that it reached an inch past her chest and acquired side-bangs that sweep to the left. She has dark grey doe eyes, the same color as the smog that surrounds her District. Ray has a button nose and lavender-pink lips, her upper lip being normal size and her lower being slightly plumper. She has soft features, a slightly pointed chin and a light dust of freckles on her cheeks. Her lips are often red tinged from her biting on them, which is a nervous habit of hers.

Rayna is 5'6 and is very happy that she didn't inherit her family's height, as they are usually very tall. Her skin is very pale and becomes frighteningly paler when the temperature drops- the only sign that she is cold. Ray is what she thinks is a very healthy size- thin, but not frighteningly so, with a fair amount of muscles. Ray works out three times a week to stay fit. She feels that being fit is very important and scoffs when she sees the twigs that they call people in the Capitol.

Ray is, as you may have figured out, a pretty girl, though she doesn't know it. She remains oblivious to the looks that she gets from boys and is content in thinking that she has the sex appeal of a tree. Raina's a quiet person around people she doesn't know, but around people with who she feels comfortable with, she is a kind, sarcastic and intelligent girl. Rayna makes people work hard to gain her trust and once they do, she is trustworthy in return. She stays quiet when people discuss things that don’t interest her, but when people are talking about things like animals, books and fitness, she can’t help but to join in the conversation.

Rayna reads in almost all her spare time and has read about one fourth of the District's library. Because she knows so many odd terms, when she chooses to insult or demean someone, she does it with such an obscure vocabulary that the person usually doesn't realize that he/she is even being insulted.

Ray has perfected her facial expressions and is known to wear a mask of neutrality when she isn't with her friends or family. No one likes to be on the other end of her devilish smirks or her patented Death Glares, because they know that if they are, they're in for hell. When someone gets on her bad side, she always gets them back for whatever they did and never gets caught by authority figures, though the person who the revenge was enacted upon always someone finds out that it was her somehow. Obviously, everyone avoids getting on her black-list, no matter how hard it is to do so in the first place. She's usually a kind person, but when revenge is involved, it’s a whole different story, thus giving her the nickname 'The Avenging Angel'. She thought that it was rather funny when she first heard it.

Until she was eight, Rayna's life was perfectly normal. She was an only child, her parents were together and happy, she had two best friends named Tabitha and Alexa and everything was perfect. Then the accident happened. She, Tabby and Alli had been playing outside when the smog started pouring in, faster than they were used to. They ran, she Ray, having just had a growth spurt and being off balance at the time, had tripped and fell. Her friends never noticed; they kept on running. She tried to get up, but her ankle had twisted as she landed and she couldn't.

When the smog had cleared, Peacekeepers had found Rayna on the ground, unconscious. She had almost chocked to dead on the smog. They had managed to save her, but the damage was done. She had inhaled so much of the smoke that it had affected her lungs. She could still talk, but her voice would sometimes get scratchy and strained. When this happened, she was advised to stop talking, for it could damage her throat if she continued to speak in that state. This, to her constant annoyance, happened about once a week, give or take a few times.

She lived with it and, ultimately, life had continued on the same as it had before. She had been given a Miniature Siberian Husky by her parents for her thirteenth birthday, which she had named Alec. She had gone to high school and gotten a part time job at the library, helping people find what books they wanted and where they were, which she was very happy about! She joined some sports teams at school and she worked hard to win.

If Ray were to enter the Hunger Games, she would be great with knifes and weapons like that, running/endurance and anything that can be learned from a book, while she wouldn't be very talented at bows and arrows. She would like to have 1-3 trustworthy allies much more that having many allies that she doesn't trust.
