Appearance:
Karl is a short guy for his age at 5'3" with short curly brown hair. He has bright blue eyes. He is covered in freckles and has a few scars, all on his hands. One is on the back of his left hand is in the shape of a Pac-Man head. (No other way to describe it really....) He is skinny and not muscled at all, really the brains not the brawn. He just wears whatever is available and doesn't really care how he looks, whether ugly or handsome. (Most consider him somewhere in between.)
Personality:
Karl is very smart but doesn't care if people think he is odd. He hates school and never does his homework and then without studying always aces his tests. This comes from having an unnaturally good memory. He is shy in new company but once he knows someone they can't seem to get him to stop talking. He is generally a loner because even though he isn't a swaggering jerk he still believes most people are generally stupid. He is a complete science and computer geek, and can never tear him self away from the ciber-world of the Capitol. (He hacked into the system and has an entire identity online as a Capitolite... and he is one.)
History:
Karl was born to rich parents in the Capitol who didn't believe in coddling their kid and brought him to District 3 at age one for a better education. (Mostly just to have his inventions be in their name, but that isn't really working.) He is also an only child. When he entered school he was bored with the teachers and slept at school so he could invent things in his room at night. He got average grades and never strove in sports or academics. At age 7 he visited the Capitol and bought the best laptop he could, always doing something on it for most of the rest of the trip. He loves his whole family and at age 11 the death of his grandfather devastated him, making him less than sympathetic of Peacekeepers who complain so often over nothing, and loves to flaunt his status to annoy them. He has invented loads of fun little tools that if he bothered could make a lot of money, but he gets money from other inventions that are closer to the current technology level in general.
