~Building [Seah vs. Pygmy Cattle]

Cowboy the Pygmy Cattle was small, even by his species' standards. Of course, this was an explicable occurrence; he was still not quite fully grown. The horns on the little rusty red-colored steer were still not quite the size of those belonging to adult cattle, his tail was not quite as long, and his back was not quite as broad. He still had a bit to go before he could be considered a real adult bull. But he didn't care - it was fun, being a kid!

Making up for his size, though, was the adventure in him; unlike the rest of his skittish species, who burrowed at any sign of danger, (and stayed there a lot of the time) Cowboy would rather be out on the open grassland, running around and hunting down excitement. He didn't fear anything! (Although those Cultimates were admittedly a little scary. They were so big!) He would sneak away from his mother to go exploring every single day, and see what he could see.

Something weird was going on in his homeland, though, and all the cattle were afraid. There were strange intruders, everywhere ones that walked on two legs and had only a small shock of hair on the top of their heads. Or at least, this was what he heard; Cowboy had never seen one of these creatures for himself, so he wasn't sure if he believed these preposterous stories yet. That was why he was out exploring on the grassland today: he wanted to see if he could find one! It would be so exciting, and he would definitely have an interesting story to tell when he got home. As long as no one told his mother.

There, right there - he spotted one! It was a very, very tall one; Cowboy got dizzy just trying to look all the way up at it! But it looked nice. Maybe it wanted to be his friend! He liked friends. He made friends with various little animals in the grassland, particularly rabbits. He liked rabbits, because they were close to his size, and because they were fun! Sometimes he imitated their hopping. Actually, there was one hopping right over there, near the tall two-legged thing! Maybe they could all be friends. with a spring in his step, Cowboy approached...and then saw that the creature was chasing after the rabbit. He looked like he wanted to hurt it! The tiny steer's jaw dropped, and his eyes slimmed in anger. He couldn't allow this. He had to protect his friends! Without a second thought, Cowboy charged at the thing, lowering his head so that it would be able to slam into it. He would defend his friends to the end! Too bad he had no idea what he was getting himself into.

Somehow, Cowboy's tiny head managed to connect with the big thing's paw. Good, maybe that would teach him not to catch his rabbit friends like that; what had they ever done to him! Rabbits were nice. They hopped around and ate grass, minding their own business. Sometimes they could be a bit hyperactive, yes, what with all the bouncing, but really they were harmless.

Suddenly something sharp came slashing Cowboy's way and he gave a whimper of pain as - oh, ow that hurt! A lot! The sharp thing had cut him on the neck, and now he was bleeding. The red liquid stained his rust-colored hide, almost blending in, but Cowboy could focus on nothing but the pain. Why had the creature hurt him? First the rabbit, now him? He's have to warn his friends and family that these intruders were dangerous. But first, he had to pretend he was a brave warrior, fighting to protect himself and everyone else from this beast. A warrior could deal with a little pain! It was just a scratch, it was nothing. He was better than that. So the miniature calf charged again.

The crack that split through the air startled Cowboy; he hadn't expected his head to collide with the creature's paw that hard. The calf couldn't help but feel a little bad. It seemed like he'd hurt him. But then he remembered what the beast had done to the rabbit, to him and realized that he deserved it. The sharp thing came slashing at him again, and Cowboy squeezed his eyes shut, expecting the worst...but it never came. The creature had missed. Had the broken paw really thrown him that off his game? Well, there would be more where that came from. This time, Cowboy decided to take a different approach. He slashed his tail in the direction of the beast, hard, hoping to do some damage.
