If a person was to spot Damaris, they may assume her hair color is false. However, it is not. As a child, she grew up with locks of bright blonde ringlets that remained a light shade do to her activities outside. However, as she aged more and her lack of outdoor activities slowed, her hair began to take a darker, more dirty blonde appearing shade. Her roots have darken as if her hair was turning to a dark brown color. Not liking this occurrence, she decided to spend more time in the sun to help her hair become light again. Damaris would absolutely die if her hair was to turn completely brown.

If that person was not too distracted by her hair, they may notice the bright hue of her irises that were given to her by her father. The alluring color is of a brilliant blue and, in intense light, turn to ice. This particular thing about herself is what she considers her best attribute. Along with her iris, she enjoys her rather long and thick eyelashes gifted by her mother. Because of the thickness, she does not have to wear an excessive about of mascara. However, her eyelids are pale so Damaris is forced to apply quite the about of eye shadow and eyeliner. As for her eyebrows, she had her mother do those for her. She does not enjoy cause herself pain; hence the reason she cannot pluck hairs from her body.

When it comes to her nose, she adores this attribute. The facial feature does not stick up high in the air, giving her the appearance of a pig, or too low, which would make her look similar to her bird. Her nose does not take up a large about of space on her face but takes about the perfect about of room on her visage. Her nose goes great with her cheekbones which set neither high or low. Her cheeks are not too plump but do not cave into her face. However, her cheeks are pretty lifeless so she has to use blush or else she would appear pale. As for her lips, they are rather small in comparison to the rest of her face. Her upper lip is a little too small for her plumper bottom lip. She absolutely hates her lips so she tries to make them not “stick out” by applying lighter shades of lip gloss/lipstick.

Her head shape is sort of a mixture of three different shapes. Because of her circular hairline, the top of her head appears to be in the shape of a circle. However, when it comes to the side of her face, her head shape is in the style of a square. Lastly, her jaw line comes together at a rounded point. Altogether, her head shape is quite complicated yet beautiful. Connected to her head also lies her ears. Her ears are rather small compared to her head. However, they do not stick out the side of her head so she really does not hate him.

As for her height, Damaris stands at a height of 5 feet 9 inches tall. She neither thinks of herself as being tall or short so, she supposes, she is average when it comes to how tall she is. Her weight is about 120 pounds by choice rather than lack of food. Her family produces enough money to pay for food but she rather be thin than thick. Being of a small frame makes her think more confidently about herself. Also, she believes being skinny would better help her fit in with the other girls around. Not all the people in District 10 have as much money has her family does.

Let us begin by calling this girl very confusing and has been diagnosed as having Dissociative identity disorder . There are two very different sides of Damaris. At times, she could be the sweetest girl in District 10. She’d be the girl that bakes cookies for the elderly and read books to small children. However, there is a very dark side of this girl. This particular side portrays her kicking puppies and sleeping with guys here and there. Also, she is cruel to about any person just because she knows she can get away with it due to her beautiful appearance. So, overall, she is quite different and surprising. She supposes she is two-faced.

~ The Good Side ~

When she is in a good mood, this girl could be portrayed as being very soft-spoken and patient. In this time, she could be spotted teaching young children how to read and write while also insisting on assisting her parents on the farm even when they demand her stay home. She ignores these requests especially when she knows her family needs help. Anyways, when she isn’t doing things in her community, she is planning on future events in which she will do tomorrow. However, depending on her every changing mood, her plans may or may not occur.

Her good side also includes her as being a romantic. She adores love and wishes every person could experience the great feeling. Often, one may find her playing matchmaker between two different people. Sometimes, her matches go well but, in other occurrences, they may end disastrous. The outcomes never really bother her since at least those people know if they are compatible or not. Also, it assists her in finding her a person’s true match. Although she loves love, she never really cannot find a person for her own. When she is in a good mood, she really does not care.

As well as being sweet and passionate, Damaris is very loving on her good days. She particularly throws her love towards her family and friends. She’d do just about anything to keep them happy. Along with being loving, she is also very helpful and feels empathy for the people around her. At this time, she may give people advice with just about any subject, including love and fashion. Anyways, she is just in the greatest moods on her good days. It seems as it nothing could bring her happy mood down.

~ The Evil Side ~

She is a traitor. When her dark side shows, she has the best way of harming just about any person. Once she earns a person’s trust, Damaris would make that person regret even trusting her. She give a girl honest advice about her boyfriend yet she makes sure that particular girl catches her boyfriend and Damaris sleeping together. Another example would include an instant in which Damaris allowed a girl to borrow the shampoo Damaris had been using. However, Damaris would not give her that particular bottle of shampoo but gave the once blonde girl blue hair. She finds things like this very entertaining and finds the strangest joy in causing people emotional pain.

Along with being very malicious, Damaris is known of being very manipulative. She could easily get about any person to do whatever she wishes. She wants a guy to get her a pastry from the bakery two miles from their location, she can get him to head in that direction, running, in a matter of seconds. She could also make even the most conservative girl go topless down the streets of District 10 if she wanted. Basically, anything she wants she gets. Anything she wants done gets finished. So, one may infer she is quite the brat.

There is no need to flirt when she looks as good as she does. One look of herself could make about any person fall instantly in love with her. When it is her evil side that shows, she may sleep with the man without even knowing his name. She may also break a guys heart in a matter of seconds. So, obviously, she is very seductive when it comes to men. Damaris doesn’t even need to lift even the smallest finger, she gets about any guy she wants. However, there are the few that she wants but she never gets. This makes her jealousy act out and, perhaps, she’d throw an angry fit.

Back before she was born, Damaris’ father, Vincent, was declared Victor of the Hunger Games. He, like many others, were shocked that he made it was far as he did. He was a poor farm boy from District 10 whose only battle experience included fighting off wild animals from his family’s livestock. Obviously, he fought he way through the games and won. Lucky for him but not for the twenty-three people that died in the process. He did admit in killing one person. The only reason he had done so was the other person had been insane and covered in blood. So, her father figured it was either him or this other guy. After his final blow pierced the other boy’s neck, the final cannon rang and Damaris’ father had became Victor.

At the time, Demetria, Damaris’ mother, was having troubles of her own. Her over controlling, rich father was abusive due to his grief over the lost of his only son. Demetria supplied her father with a human punching bag. Going tired of his abuse, she ran as far as she could away from her father. Somehow, she managed to reach District 10 - a city in celebration.

After making his last stop on the Victor tour, Vincent returned to his District as happy as he could to be alive. At the same time, he was disappointed in himself for not helping Katherine, the other District 10 tribute, as he promised. When nighttime came, Vincent would be found roaming the streets of District 10 in search for his fallen tribute. Never did he find her. However, on one of his daily strolls, he crossed the beautiful Demetria.

Demetria found living on her own was more difficult than she originally thought. Ignorant girl thought the new District would embrace her as if she were their own. However, she found no waiting arms. She found her cardboard box in a dark alley - her new home. Demetria, having expensive taste, did not own much money; therefore she was forced to live on the streets.

When Vincent crossed her, he was taken with her beauty. Sure, she was covered in dirt and sweat but he could see past all the nastiness and see the pretty girl she was. Being the gentleman he was, Vincent immediately asked if this girl would like to have a hot bath and a meal. Demetria made it clear she was not a hooker and that he should leave her alone. However, Vincent insured her that all he wanted to do was make sure that Demetria had a place to stay. She agreed only because she really wished to be clean again. One night turned into many and, soon enough, it became a permanent thing.

After the two settle down in one of the Victor’s housing, they became even closer. At the time, Demetria had cutoff all connects to her father as well as the rest of her family in District 1. Vincent went back to working with cattle and even taught Demetria had to properly milk a cow and how to herd cattle. At first, she was not used to working but about a month of being in District 10, she got used to the smell of cow poop and getting squirted in the eyes with milk. After three more month, the two got married at City Hall and begin their family.

On March 29, Demetria and Vincent produce a little baby girl. At birth, Damaris was quite small, weighing only 6 pounds, one ounce. She was also really quiet for a baby. At first, she refused to cry when the doctor smacked her bottom. However, she gave in when the fluid in her throat was beginning to bother her. Because of her Greek name, Demetria named her baby Damaris. The name Katherine came from the District 10 girl that Vincent failed to protect. He believes that he was “dealt a new hand” when he had a baby. He thinks this time around, he could protect this Katherine like he couldn’t with the other.

After her first month of life, Damaris was bought to the meadow with her mother and father. At the time, the two were low on money so they could not afford not to work or hire a babysitter so they were forced to bring to the farm. The majority of the time, Damaris remained in a cloth a cradle like object on her mother’s back. Damaris, obviously, did not know what was going on or what the smell in the stables were so she really was not bothered to be there,

At the age of four, she became more helpful for her family. She could milk a cow pretty easily but that was about it. She was still too young to herd cattle. If she was to try to herd the cows, she could be trampled to death in a matter of seconds. Her father, being irresponsible, brought to a branding on day. She was being as good as a child could be until her father branded the first cow. She was disgusted so she tried to help save the cows from future harm. In a matter of seconds, she would have grabbed a hot iron if it hadn’t been for her mother. From that day on, Damaris worked with her mother inside the stables.

Ten was the age in which she gained most of her height. So, at the size of 5’1, Damaris was able to finally help herd cattle. No matter her size, she could still be trampled but the parents began to think she was clever enough to not be in that situation. However, one day when she was heading a small group of sheep, a wild wolf made its way into District 10. The animal was moments from lunging at her but her father saved her in time. The wolf got a knife to its throat and died in front of her. After that day, she was not allowed to go to far from the stables. Her parents also began to argue on whether or not she should still work or not. Damaris said she would continue since the family still did not have a lot of money. To make matters worse, at this age, Damaris was diagnosed as having Dissociative identity disorder. At the time, her parents thought her multiple personalities were a result of her coming of age. They were incorrect.

At the age of twelve, money came in from District 1. It was enough money for the family to live off of for about fourteen years. Demetria confessed that she had been sending letters to District 1 since Damaris had been born. However, the family got the money because Demetria’s father had died and left money for her in his will. This family considered this a sign and did not allow Damaris to work on the farm again. However, Vincent and Demetria still worked. They claimed that they would be bored without work. So Damaris was forced to leave at the house alone for a while.

Now at the age of seventeen, her beauty has caught the eyes of a few men. However, she refuses to marry or date any of them. (However, she has been known to sleep around a little.) What she is looking for is a guy that likes her for her complicated personality rather than what they see
