As he disrobed and insisted that they were going swimming, Stark stared at her near-naked ally in revulsion, briefly wondering why she had picked Dante of all people to be her bitch. He was revolting and inherently vulgar, the sort of people that Stark went out of her way to avoid back in District One. But on the other hand, he was — to put it bluntly — an idiot. He thought highly of himself, but it was quite apparent that he was nothing more than a giant meathead that was crashing through the arena with absolutely no idea what he was doing.

"You're going to get eaten by a kraken," she informed him, "and I'm not saving your ass when you turn into a damsel in distress. So don't go splashing around like a little girl, Princess, or you're going to be something's lunch." Stark chose to ignore the line about her not needing any clothes for both of their sakes; that would only end in blood, and while she was sure that she could take him — especially considering his still-healing wounds — she'd made him her bitch for a reason; she didn't need an ally, but she wanted one. From a strategic point of view, they were quite useful.

Calling to mind the armored sharks from the 55th Games, Stark was uneasy about heading out into the open ocean, but she could spot a sunken pirate ship out in the distance, which looked surprisingly inviting. She reasoned that it might contain some sort of buried treasure, which interested her enough to make the swim out to it. Besides, she might run into the District Fours, since they were likely the only other tributes who would willingly make the long swim out to the partially-sunken ship. This time, she had Cyclops with her, so she wouldn't have to strategically end the fight by moving to a different location, the way that she had during the bloodbath.

Ignoring Dante's insistence and leaving her clothes on — save for her boots, which she had removed as soon as possible the previous day — Stark waded out, wielding a harpoon and a scowl, until the water reached her chest. With a deep breath that could've easily been a heavy sigh, she stepped out of her comfort zone, allowing her feet to lose the bottom of the ocean as she propelled herself away from the shore.
