Every morning you had stopped in that room, Essence, and now you're trying to forget about it. Trying to forget about the memories you made in there because all of those strings are cut now. It doesn't matter where you are because only one of you could still be alive, and if that's the case - if one of you are truly alive - they're the unlucky one. And the day started like all of the other days. You, hopping in the shower before your mentor could get to you. Then, you took the awkward elevator ride down to the Dining Hall to get some breakfast. And you'd sit in the same seat every day, unless, of course, it was taken. Usually, though, the room was bare and the people were spread out in their little groups.

You sat down at your seat with a rasin cinnamon bagel and some butter. You spread the butter over the bagel as you looked around you. It was a scary thought, thinking that all of the people in that room were going to die. Of course, with the exception of one. (Except not everyone was in there, at that moment, and obviously, you didn't know who the Victor was yet.) You groan softly as you start eating the bagel, the warmth of it radiating through your body. You had bagels back home, along with butter, but you never had a bagel fresh out of the oven with rich raisins. And you never had thick, creamy butter like this. And that was the worst part of this place, perhaps. Because everything was so nice but it would only last for so long.
