{Rise and Shine, Princess} [Thundy] (Blitz)

I never noticed my door open, or the shadow of a girl slink across my wall. I never even realized I wasn't the only one in my room until I felt a weight hit the side of my bed and send me scrabbling to sit up and see what had happened. "Rise and shine, princess." For a moment I thought Joey had managed to get into my room, somehow traveling to the Capitol and bypassing the hundreds of peacekeepers that seemed to guard us, to bug me. It would be something he would do, if he could, but I realized that the voice had been female. My heart pounding, I sat on the edge of my bed as I faced the partially opened door while trying to take a deep breath and steady my pulse. Slowly, knowing the one person it must be on the other side of the bed, I turned to face the person I expected to see even as I felt a blush crawl into my cheeks. I was not dressed, but thankfully I always slept in at least boxers. Right now they were clearly visible as I had kicked the covers off in my race to sit up and see what was going on.

I grabbed the closest piece of the comforter, pulling over myself so everything from my waist down was shielded from sight. I knew she had already seen, but I just felt really uncomfortable without the extra layer keeping her gaze away. I looked at her, trying to keep from looking as nervous and shaken as I felt. This girl had come into my room without me realizing and had jumped onto my bed, calling me a nickname that I had been called by one of my few friends. It was hard not to have been startled as much as I had, but that didn't mean I had to let her know just how much she had caught me off guard. In truth, she already knew. I sighed, trying to look exasperated though it was probably far too late for that, especially after the spectacular amount of flailing I had just managed to do.

I pulled the cover further over myself, not ready to lie back yet but still wanting to feel covered, grumbling nonsense words that sounded similar to a few choice ones I felt like saying. Then, I looked her in the face with what I knwe was an annoyed look and muttered, "Morning to you too." Trying to maybe get a laugh out of her, though really I was probably more trying my luck, I added, "Did you just want to see me so bad that you couldn't wait until I was actually up?" The blush in my cheeks never faded and I knew I probably looked like the biggest fool to her right now, but at least it meant it couldn't get any worse later. Or so I hoped.
