WHO YOU WANT: Jagger Lawrence Libertine
WHY: Jagger Libertine's life is a barbed cycle of misery.
It used to be perfect - he was a knight in the training center, handsome, intelligent, and he always knew how to get what he wanted. And yet, he still managed to convince himself that finding Ondine was down to some kind of divine luck. Stripped of his arrogance, Ondine had made him see that there was more to life than little victories. With his every waking breath, he reminded her, and himself, how beautiful she was and how lucky he was to have her. And, every morning, she would tell him that beauty wouldn't last forever.
And when she was right, and he hadn't listened, he refused to blame himself.
To him, she was suddenly a Gorgon sister, all her physical charm washed away on the tides of time. Their children who, when she was still beautiful, we're such blessings, now played a constant reminder of the beauty their mother once had, but had no longer. Anything that was hers, as well as Ondine herself, started to strike Jagger with hate - he had been a fool to fall for only temporary good looks, and commit himself to this witch. His wandering hands, affairs with other women were carried out with the intention of producing children that bore no resemblance to her, that could, perhaps, have the chance of keeping their charm throughout their whole life. He knew that Ondine knew about this scheme, but didn't care. He believed he was right, and hate for her trickery stopped him seeing sense.
Sleep apnea came on him almost exactly like a curse. He dreamt of drowning and, suddenly, he was. Thrashing as she watched him suffocate, he was almost certain he would die with her haggard features still imprinted on his retinas. His waking hours were quickly evolving into the nightmares he was plagued with at night. Sleeping was no longer a way for him to escape the troubles of life, for sleeping brought him to the brin of death. Ondine's curse had gone beyond its diagnosis, and he was filled with fear always.
WHATCHU WANNA DO WITH THEM (PLOT IDEAS PERHAPS?): Lots of luverly affairs, doting on his "real" children (maybe he remembers all of them with a sort of pride, rather than guilt?) HE TRIES TO SMOTHER ONDINE OR ONE OF THE CHILDREN WHEN HE WAKES UP UNABLE TO BREATHE HOPING HE CAN TAKE ONE OF THEM WITH HIM and allllll the drowning metaphors pls ok
