Name of Mutt: The Rattler
Brief Summary: This snake looks like a diamond back rattlesnake which used to thrive in the western US except for the fact that it can grow as long as 25 feet long and weighs a ton. It has a large rattle as hard as a club on the end of its long tail which rattles when ever it sees something it wants to attack. The club like tail can also be used as a club. But it rarely uses its tail because it has extremely sharp teeth, used to pierce it's prey. Also, it's teeth has a very potent toxin stored in them.

After the rebellion, scientists engineered a mutt eating snake, large enough to eat large mutts, and with a strong desire for food. They created the Rattle after mixing the dna of a African Rock Python and a Diamond Back rattlesnake. The Rattlers rounded up most of the mutts, well, enough that it could eat which is a lot, and because they couldn't eat them all the capitol decided to leave the other mutts in place to remind the district citizens of the rebellion. The capitol tried to round up the large snakes then so districts won't be eaten by them. A few snakes got away though into the forests and have been breeding with other snakes there and now they are in a much smaller form, growing to around 15 feet.

They still are very dangerous and their bite contains lethal venom. Just 0.0000001 of a miligram of its poison could kill an elephant within a matter of minutes. When the rattler was created it are it's creators because of its hunger. Now the gamemakers saw it fit to recreate the large kind of rattlers again because it seemed to fit with the Western theme of the map.

Get ready tributes, them old rattlers comin to town.

Poision, Edible, or Neither? It's midsection is edible when cooked, not when it isn't cooked though, and the head and tail are extremely poisonous.


Name: The Carnivorous Tumbleweed

About: This looks like a regular tumbleweed except much, much larger. Also, it is alive! The thorny, stick parts of it are feelers to grope around for its prey. All the feelers lead to a large mouth. This animal doesn't see or think. It drifts along in the wind and it's feelers are attracted to body heat. When an animal or human is nearby it moves closer and when it's branches touches something they pull it in to the mouth where the human is consumed through pointy teeth. The feelers are also used as clubs to knock the target senseless before it was ate.

This was created to help with the rebellion. It was something the rebels didn't expect because it looked so normal. Their weakness though is fire and when the rebels burnt them all they were destroyed. Now the gameamakers see fit to bring them back because... well... they are tumbleweeds and this is the wild west.

These them regular tumbleweeds normally blow in the beginning of fights. These tumbleweeds blow and then start them.

Name: The Dark Widow

About: This spider looks like a black widow spider, except is as large as a Brazilian walking spider which is around a foot long. That's because the scientists mixed the DNA from those spiders to create the Dark Widow. It has the same hourglass on it's back like the regular black widow spider, and it is pitch black, and it can jump 4 feet into the air. The capitol scientists wanted to create a spider which was deadly, large, and attacks often. The Black Widow spider had a bad temper and a strong poison, and the Brazilian Walking Spider was large, and it's poison was powerful as well and when it was attacked it attacked harder, but it was shy. Together it makes a spider which always fights harder each time it's attacked, with long teeth, is huge, attacks people often, and has a powerful toxin. With 0.0001 of a milligram of this toxin is enough to kill a baby beluga whale.

These spiders were created during the rebellion by capitol scientists of a mean to quickly exterminate district citizens in the more western districts. They destroyed all of them after the rebellion but the gameamakers see it fit to bring them in for this games, do to the fact that they come from the west from the Black Widow spider and can withstand the arena.

QUICKLY!!! KILL IT WITH A PAPER TOWEL! I HATE SPIDERS!! Oh right... this was before paper towels were invented.

Name: Cowboys Cattle

About: When the capitol scientists needed a good source of food during the dark days when the districts were rebelling, capitol scientists were sponsored by a rich capitolite to make weird cows. They mixed cow dna with bee DNA and created this. It is a large cow with a stinger and highly protective of their queen cow due to their bee dna. This was a good source of food at first until the capitol scientists realized that they were to protective and they attack viciously to anyone who comes close. The capitolites trained each new cow as it was born to expect pain when it hears someone hum This song. The capitolites thought it was funny because these cow were like ranch cattle so a cowboy song would do nicely. They can also survive extreme weather like deserts due to their thick hides.

Name of Mutt: Vulcor
Brief Summary: A cross between a Vulture, a Falcon, and an eagle, these giant desert dwellers were used during the dark days to scout for rebels and take out their camps. They have a huge wingspan with feathers that easily blend into the desert surroundings. After the dark days, the capitolites no longer really had any use for the giant birds and therefore, most of them were killed off. The ones that remained were modified to be faster and better survivalists, able to scavenge for food in any place. Their eyesight is some of the best there is.
Poision, Edible, or Neither? Edible but would you really want to eat something that eats carcasses?

Name of Mutt: Stinging Shadows
Brief Summary: These scorpion like creatures are found in hot places and were originally used to drive the rebels out of their hiding places. They travel in swarms and their stings are quite painful but are not fatal. They are sandy in color and tend to live in caves and dark places. They get their names from how quietly they travel from place to place, almost like shadows.
