The one good thing about the capital, is that the food is okay. It is better and more exotic as the food back in district 3. Here I actually have no clue what I am even eating, everything looks so colorful and different. Back at home it was colorless, and bread, mostly bread. Not that it wasn’t good, it really was, but once in a while I needed something different than just bread. My first day of training went pretty well actually, it wasn’t as hard as I thought, maybe because I went to the knot tying station. I was good at that, from tying all the knots on the hands of my puppet, it was a strength of mine, and I was going to use. Tomorrow I’ll try out something else, but maybe for now, I’ll stick with something I know how to do. Fork into the food, and put the meat like thing in my mouth. Of course it tasted it good, it was property of the best people in panem. And we all know they just love to pamper the tributes before they send us to our deaths. I was eating alone here, I am not good at making friends, not here and not at home. The only thing I am good at is making puppets.

Training had been a mixture of emotions today, so mixed up you couldn't even decide where to let your mind travel first. You think about the fire in which you had built, the way it rose up above the wood, eating away at the oxygen in the air. It had been a site to see, one that you would never forget. You could never forget the fire, any fire. Fire was engraved into your nightmares. Fire haunted you. But fire was also your chance, your chance at survival. Fire was so dangerous, but yet such a conscious substance of life itself. It created new life, it reforms old lives. It reformed your life and the life that you loved. Hastily you push the thoughts to the back of you mind. You didn't need to think of things like that, you were basically on your death bed, you needed to try and fight the beast that tied you down. You wouldn't lose, not to the voices, not to the capitol.

Silently you walk into the hall which was lined with a range of foods, foods that you had never seen before, food that you would never be able to find back home. Your eyes widen a touch as you walk towards the food. As you do you come passed the tribute that was from district three. There weren’t many tribute names that you could remember off of the top of your head yet, but this one? This name was extremely hard to forget A giggle begins to emerge fem your lips as you get closer to the girl. At first the giggle seemed like a harmless laugh, but as you got closer you laughed harder until you could’t control yourself.

You were standing behind her now, your whole body shaking, your laughter and earthquake inside your body. “Who- who- who,” you couldn't do it, you coolant hold back your laughter and speak at the same time. “whowouldnametheirchildfuture?’ the words come out in one png chain, so close together that you could barely even tell where it begun and where it ended.

Some tribute walk don’t, I don’t know her name and I really care. She will be dead anyway in few days. To me she isn’t any importance, then she stops next to me and giggles. She giggles and giggles like a 5 year old girl and I was ready to slap her across the face to make her stop. “Listen retard, are you going to say anything or are you just wasting my time with your unimportant giggles. If you want to act like a three year old then do that, but not here” I snapped at her, and then she said something really fast, but I still got it, she was making fun of my name. I like my name, it is something different, something original, not like whatever her name is. I glared at her with my eyes, my beautiful green eyes were turned into daggers, and she was my target. “You really have no idea, when to stop do you? You just don’t go around asking people that question. And I like my name, so just fuck of you little brat”

Your stomached ached from the laughter that was ripping though your body. You new that it wasn't this funny, you knew that you were exaggerating but you couldn't help yourself. So much had happened in the past few days it all just seemed to mush to you. A person names Future just seemed so surreal compared to everything else that had happened to you. You knew that most people looked at you and they were thinking about how you brought this onto you yourself but they didn't really no. No one kew why you were really here- wait, Cystine might know. You were quite sure.

You take a deep breath, you arms bracing your sides as you tried to tame the wild beast within you. It was rude to laugh, you think to yourself. Damn, who cares about rules when you were about to die? “You really have no idea, when to stop do you?”- Your laughter begins to turn into heavy breathing-“ You just don’t go around asking people that question. And I like my name, so just fuck of you little brat” You stop. Not even a hiccup of laughter feel from your lips. She liked the name? “Wait- wait hold up- you like the name ‘future’? really? oh my god does it give you some sorta of feel like you gonna actually have a future? I mean I know the name Sonja is dumb… but if you rearrange it and add a few letters I think you can spell S’Life’ja.” your scoff, your head tilting to the side slightly. There was something about the way the girl, Future, spoke that mad you angry. There were no kindness in her words, not even a hint of affection.

In my voice there was nothing but coldness, and my eyes were still shooting daggers. This girl, Sonja, is so full of innocence, as if she doesn’t get why she is here and what she will be doing soon. How can someone possess such a nature, she must be insane to do so. I believe that pea-size brain of hers takes forever to even start up in the morning. I hate this girl, her naïve ways were reason enough, and how can anyone stand her. How come her parents didn’t disown her? Sure Samara has some sort of innocents to her, all little girls do, but not grown up ones, and never does anyone who gets reaped have any after a few days, hopefully it will kick in with her. “Of course I love my name, and believe it or not I will have future, I am planning on coming back, and I am planning on killing you. I mean who can stand an annoying, innocent tribute like you. I can’t wait to spill your blood” I leaned closer to her so that my lips were centimeters away from her year. I took a string of her hair and whispered “Or you can be my puppet, wouldn’t you like that, to play with me forever and ever” my voice sly as a snake.

I can’t wait to spill your blood.” Damn this girl had crossed the line. Instantly your eyes which had had a hint of a joke in them were wiped clean, replaced with a new found anger. The smirk that you had worn was no longer a smirk but the beginnings of a snarl. Usually you were the person that people would come to talk to about worries, people would sit in front of you and they would pour their hearts and and walk away feeling a million times lighter, people loved you for that. But ever since you took that step forward the world around you seemed to change, it seemed to darken Nothing looked like it once did. The bags under your eyes were darker, the sky seemed dark, the atmosphere seemed darker and most of all the people that you were surrounded by seemed darker.

Were the voices inside her head telling her to say this? Where they the reason behind her coldness? You knew that you weren't the only one, despite what Cystine has said to you, you cant find any other reason for this argument. You couldn’t be the only one, the voices were swimming in her mind too, you could tell, you could tell in the daggers that were shot in your direction. She leans closer to you, so close that you could see spit plying from her out as she poke her next words in a dangerous voice, “Or you can be my puppet, wouldn’t you like that, to play with me forever and ever.” You cringe away from her words, away from the suggestive tome in her voice. She’s insane, you think to yourself. ~~which is ironic considering that you in fact were labelled as someone who was losing their mind.~~‘What the hell, no, I don't want to be your puppet- are you some sort of twisted creep?” You face twists into a face of disgust, but the you remember the chilling words that had previously fallen from her lips. “And you can try to kill me, try all you want sweetheart, but don't think I am going down without a fight. I wont let them beat me. I will win. They got me into this position in the first place. I will beat them. But of course that means I’ll have to beat you first.”
