What a day.
I am a loser.
My father is a liar.
He will pay.
For as long as I can remember, my father forced me into training. He trained me to be better than everyone because it's what he wanted. He wanted me to go into the hunger games and win. He wanted me to be better than everyone. He told me I was better than everyone, but that was a lie. My father lied through his teeth each time those words passed through his lips. When I get home, he's going to have a price to pay. I'm going to punch his teeth so far down his throat he suffocates on them. Nobody lies to me. It wasn't the first time anyone proved they were better than me. Today just put the key in the lock as I proved to myself that I am a loser. The Olympics started off fantastic. I won the first round of the three events I was competing in. I was on top of the world because I strongly believed that my father was telling me the truth, but today I learned differently. Every single match I was competing in destroyed me. I lost everyone one of them. My father lied to me. I'll never believe another word he says especially when he tells me to train.
I wanted to relax and have fun, but the weight of the losses weighed heavily upon my shoulders. I'm nothing. I shouldn't have even tried. I'm a loser. I'm nothing but a loser. Never again will I try to win anything. Never again will I step foot into that training center because my father won't lie to me anymore. Training isn't worth it just to lose. Training should train people to win, but I lost. His words will never leave my mind. He promised me I would win if I trained my entire life, but that never happened. Everything was not in my favor today, and now I must pay the ultimate price. I promise as long as I live I'll never train again unless I'm standing in the training center at the Capitol. Careers aren't meant for anything because of the lies they are fed. I'll feed myself the truth.
Even the best training won't make winners.
I wanted to meet with my opponent for the drink he promised, but it wouldn't fix anything. It wouldn't take back the anger and hatred I once felt for him. Those emotions shouldn't have flew through my mind. It was horrible feelings. He won the fight, and I should be thankful for it, but I'm not. It angers me that someone beat me. It angers me, but I'm not going to let it get to me. Today is the creation of a new me. No longer will I listen to the lies my father told me. No longer will I hear him speak because he'll see what I can do. He'll learn that lies never makes friends.
I lean against the wall and wait. Hopefully he'll show up. Maybe I can actually make a friend. Maybe I can learn that someone actually tells the truth because liars never make friends.
