Nothin' to Do but Drink (Artemis Blitz)

"Share?" The guy said. Jay just looked at him. He seemed cool and he had good looks. Jay just was stuck in thought, that's when he heard him again. "There's no room elsewhere." Jay was pretty sure that neither of them cared by that moment. Jay was watching the guy. He had no clue what to do. Should he sit there? What if the guy was a murderer and wanted Jay to sit there so he could murder him. Jay just ignored himself and said, "Sharing sounds good. After all, it's just me here." Jay sat down across from the man at the table. He was silently sipping his beer.

Jay's nerves were now getting to him. He was sitting at a table with a good looking guy and drinking beer. This was a rare thing for Jay. He was so used to just living on the beach and not seeing anyone from town. He thought that being alone is much better than having too many friends. His school life was ruined from too many people. He was fine with a small group of people that he can consider friends, like Jev. Jay felt bad for Jev even though he got pretty far. Then Jay realized. Jay spoke, "Aren't you that guy. The one in wrestling who is like super close to gold? Brody, right? I'm Jay, my friend was in the wrestling competition, but he lost." Jay just took another swig of his beer, smiling at Brody, the good looking guy. Jay felt like he was in the right place at the right time.

"The one and only." Jay just grinned right back at the older guy in front of him. He seemed like he could kick Jay's ass if he needed to. Jay though probably could find a way to beat Brody though. Jay was thinking of ways to take down the good looking guy in front of him. Jay was just grinning. Then, that's when he heard Brody speak again, "Oh really. Am I the one that sent him home?" Jay just laughed. He didn't mean it in a rude way, but Jev lost to a Moreno. Brody wasn't known by everyone like the Morenos. Jay spoke normally, "Nah, man. A girl from the Morenos did. She was a monster I tell you. She looked like nothing, but then she got the move on him. though, you could probably take him out too. I mean just look at you. good looking and strong."

Jay just grinned and kept sipping his beer. That's when he came up with another question. "What other events are you doing? I'm actually competing as well and I'd rather not have to kick your butt in a event." Jay just smirked and went back to sipping his beer, while trying to listen to his reply. Jay could totally beat him in pole vaulting. He could totally beat him in anything swimming, after all Jay surfed and sold surfing items for a living. The water was his home. He felt free there and felt like he could take on the world in it. Jay just sat calmly in his seat, looking at Brody. His mind was lost like it always is, especially when he was in front of a good looking guy. Jay was awkward, but his cockiness was coming and that meant he was gonna be comfortable soon. He smiled at Brody and listened for a reply.

"Besides wrestling?" Jay had just nodded. He wanted to hear more about the gorgeous male in front of him. "Boxing. Just waiting around for the next bracket to be announced." Jay smirked. He didn't have to deal with Brody in any events. Brody was doing the more fighting ones, while Jay was doing more field events and swimming. Jay wasn't much of an Olympian, but he knew that he could beat anybody if he tried his hardest. Him and his weapon would be great together. He could kill anyone. If he was in a games, he'd tactically take tributes down one by one, until he won and then he can tell Peridot off and even kill him maybe. He wanted to do that already. Jay smiled and tucked his thoughts back into his head.

"Should I be worried?" Jay just smiled. "Am I going to have to bust up your pretty face or are you entered in something else?" Jay laughed. Jay wasn't one to think that he could take on a older guy like this guy. Jay was not a very good fighter. THe only thing he has on his side is speed, but by the look of Brody, Jay would be in a very bad spot. Brody looked strong and fast. That's when Jay realized he called him pretty. Sure, Jay was a bit more feminine at times, but Jay was not what you call a girl. He was cute at most. Jay still blushed a bit, but he was trying to hide it. "Looks like it's my lucky day. I don't have to get my pretty face busted. I'm not in boxing or wrestling. I think I placed in the Javelin throw and I still have pole vaulting, and the swimming 4 by 4." Jay smirked. He liked the guy across from him. He seemed cool and nice. Jay wasn't one to judge people, but sometimes he had to. Brody though, was on the good part of his judging. He seemed perfect and amazing to Jay. "So, what district are you from? 1, 2, or 4? I'm from 4, the best district. No offense if you are from another. I have a bit of pride for District 4." Jay felt stupid for boasting about his district. He wasn't sure what the others were like. Jay felt awkward. His hands were sweaty at that moment, probably because a good looking guy was sitting in front of him and he seemed like he was flirting. Just was sitting up in anticipation. The guy was interesting and honestly, if Brody wanted to do things with Jay, Jay would allow it.
