Give me more, more, more {npp vs p/m/g day 3}

The day was winding down again as I looked through the never ending shower of snow. The sun wasn't nearly as bright as it was before and I swore I could see at least one star peaking out through the blankets of grey and white that in-wrapped it. To be quite honest I couldn't be more satisfied with the fact that this day was drawing to a close. It had been more eventful than I preferred to deal with.

Sad thing is that it wasn't even the mutts that my alliance and I had to fight that made it bad. In all truth I was actually quite happy with the way the mutt fight had gone. I had fought well, my allies had fought well, and not to mention I had yet again shown off my skills when I managed to officially kill one of the riving creatures.

The thing that had origionally began turning the productive day of surviving was when Prism's leg had grown infected. That was a sight I never wish to see again in my life-time. The amount of puss and blood that ran out of his wound during its treatment was enough to repulse just about any single sane person watching. That is if that moment was even on screens, most likely it wasn't if I were to guess.

However, even that was only the tip of the ice berg. What really turned the day into utter chaos was when the one and only Mason Hammerfell lost his sanity. Through the snow both Prism and I witnessed Mason lash out at Chaske and nearly breaking his arm. Ever since that moment the tensions have been so strong I could easily cut them with a butter knife.

Even now as I watch the lights flicker and shimmer elegantly above me I can feel the tension. It feels as though someone has poured a thick hot bucket of mud all over the air. No one can say or even move without possibly inciting another incident. I hated it, how immature this whole thing was. I know I need Mason and Chaske both as allies to make it out of this alive but I can't get over the fact of how utterly uncontrollable Mason's emotions were. That would be a note I would keep in the side of my mind for the rest of these games.

Prism's voice snatched my attention for a brief moment as he announces the anthem. I allow my eyes to gaze upward through the snowfall once again to see two distorted faces within the never ending mirage of colors that was the sky.

I shrug off the entire anthem with a sigh as I settle down for the evening. Those two faces mean nothing more to me other than the fact that they are two more tributes closer to home. Back to district seven, out of the cold and back to the warmth.

Before I can even reconcile what's happened I am awoken by Chaske mumbling something about it being time to leave. I sigh as I push myself up and onto my numb feet. Today just as the day before they would continue to traverse the tundra in search of other tributes and a faster path to victory.

I lead our small pack alongside Prism as we approach a large evergreen tree forest. My heart's pace begins to pick up a little at the sight of trees. Finally I will partially be within my true element. Now I can show my true full power. With the trees surrounding me I am sure I can take on the challenges of this new day.

Prism whistles to the others as a sign to group up and we all do. Our weapons are drawn as we march silently through the forest's canopy. The only sound is that of our boots crunching on the freshly fallen powder from the sky. I am so interested in the beauty of the trees that dance around me that I barely notice Prism's hand shoot up.

Instantly we all are frozen, dead silent, I am holding my weapon even tighter now prepared to strike again. Surely enough a group of tributes appear slightly before us and Prism gives us all a small nod. I return the gesture and then take of running beside them. My allies. Just as a pack of wolves we descend on our victims. I leave no chances as I bring my axe down with all the force of the forest and my strength with it.
