The train scuttled away with a roar. Dust swarmed up like a cloud as Kirito's feet dragged aimlessly forward. Exhaustion was hitting him like a ship and he was doing all he could not to faint. He was tired of the war that was raging in his head. Constant screaming, constant scolding, constant reminders of his deeds in the blood bath. No longer did Kirito Miristioma walk inside the arena with his allies. Now just a dark shadow of a fallen healer stood in his place. The blood had tainted his with the black of murder, a stain that can never be removed since it runs through your blood. It is a piece of you that you can never remove.

Just the mechanical beeps of a parade of sponsorship parachutes sent the beast of a boy flailing with his knife. This monster was always ready to kill, Kirito murmured from the chilling sleep of his hell. Kirito felt his eye brows push up by the surprise of how many of the silver chutes had his name on them. Was it because he had killed Rowan? Or maybe because Katelyn didn't want him dead yet. Whatever it was he sure as hell wasn't complaining as he opened each of his blessings.

A smile formed weakly on Kirito's face as he took out all the supplies. He was honestly shocked with how much he had recieved. He was even able to give Rhyme a full water bottle and antivenom. For some unknown reason someone was actually caring for him. Yet Kirito did have to admit the jar of tar he now held sent waves of fear through his essence. Would he have to use it... Why do they want him to?

An idea wiggled into Kirito's jumbled head as he swiftly reached out and gripped Rhyme's arm tightly. What came out of his voice when he spoke startled him, it was weak yet insane sounding. It was the voice of a monster, how suiting for him. "H... How do ya do it? How do ya hurt othas and feel nuthin'? Tell meh how! Tell meh how to stop the voices! Tell meh damnit! Tell meh! Tell meh! Tell meh! Make them stop!!!" Kirito's wails flew like gun shots through the world around him. His breaths rapidly inscreased as his hands latched onto his hair tightly threatening to rip them out course brown strand by strand. "TELL ME!"

"Where are we now..." The curious words ring out from under her breath. Slowly, and easily, she surveyed where the group had gotten off at. Within her mind, she felt the surface tention of this place immediately. Death could be lurking from anywhere in this place. Some form of entertainment would likely be persueing the careers and non-careers alike with each careful step they happened to take. An uneasy feeling crept over Olivia. Something just wasn't right. Something felt utterly wrong to her being here in this arena. From the moment that she had let her eyes adjust from being in that tube, she knew that it was all over. It was the dingy smell that this place assaulted her nose with the stench of stale, dry air. It was the visuals of the broken, dried up crispy ground and metal ruins that littered the ground. There was no trying to hide the fact that inside of her own beating heart, that this day was going to keep going and never stop. The longer the day held that light in the man made sky, the more chances that she would never make it back to see Chief. The question on her mind was if he even cared for her anymore now?

The spear in her hand was held ever so tightly in her grasp as if she was afraid that anyone would come and snatch it away from her at any moment. In the arena where ruins were means for decoration, there was no telling and this makeshift staff with a blade on one end was going to be her salvation. This metal rod of hope was going to be her best friend and stick by her for the remainder of the games and hopefully the last thing that she would see and mutter her last word to.

"Saba two." She whispered, pursing her lips together for a moment and staring at the weapon in her hands. Her fingers caressed the weapon as if it was a lover. The top of the sharp blade was coated with redness, tainted with blood from her enemies. With a shake of her head, she bent down and ran the blade across the ground in strokes to rid it of the fact that she had fought for her life not long ago. Countless images of the blood bath poured back into her mind, taking chunks of memory and providing them as broken photographs. She had taken several slices against flesh in that battle. She fought with earnest and a desire to get out alive. She was not a born career, but instead a trained one. She wasn't given the option to fight but mandated to in order to survive her life at home. If only for a moment, she was thankful for the family she was unfortunately given. They had shown her already, she had the will to survive death and this situation was going to be no different.

Consequently, her partner wasn't taking his newfound kill in a joyful manner. It was starting to show by the way he was assaulting Rhyme. Prickled with fear that he would turn on the blond, she finally spoke up, breaking the silence, and tapping saba two alongside her shoulder.

"Let go of her arm, or you'll lose your fingers, Kirito. We aren't you're enemies. Don't lose your sanity just yet. We've only just arrived, remember?"

A brutal, screeching halt welcomes us at our new destination. Sort of ironic that I’m stepping off with only one, rather tiny, career while the rest are powerfully claiming different territories. Can only imagine how furious this is making Father become. Or perhaps he sees the strength my alliance members pertain; it was certainly proven in that bloodbath. Now I soft grin manages on my lips, while I gaze around at the favorable condition we’re nearly all in. Kirito has a bit of damage, though after a night of rest he’ll certainly be as good as new... Words can’t describe the gratitude of that train, and the distances it hopefully gave us.

Spoke too soon about the decent wellbeing of all of us though. Not more then a few yards away from the tracks, Kirito’s fingers securely grasp my wrist and attention. This is it. Should have assumed the shy boy personality wasn’t going to last for long in here. One life was taken at our hands, and now his core is broken. He’s ready for more blood. My heart jumps for a mere moment, while the gloves tighten around my balling fists. Then I force myself to relax as fearful questions seep from his words. He’s unable to swallow the kill he’s just made.

My head snaps over to Olivia, as she threatens Kirito to let go of me before trying to reassure him that we’re not the enemies. “You’re not helping, Olivia.” I warn her with a deadly stare; perhaps if she left out her first initial response, but she didn’t. Instantly I pull my focus back over to Kirito, cautiously resting my hands on his lower shoulders. I patiently watch as he yanks at his hair, desperate for some form of relief. All I can consider is how I used to calm Ruckus when things became overwhelming.

“Kirito…” My voice has lacked being this nurturing for a while now, yet comes at so naturally at this instance. “Look at me.” I attempt at removing his intertwined fingers from his brunette locks. “We need to make it to safety before any break downs, okay?” Is that going to be enough though? Advising him to think of other things until it’s a more proper time to cave? My lips suddenly merge into his for only a brief moment. “Concentrate on that for a little.” A cheesy grin slides to my cheeks before I decide to lead the way elsewhere.

We had been riding a train, a train that was going to take us to some unknown destination. This seemed safe, sure throw a bunch of murderers into a train and expect them all alive. This was completely stupid, though they did lose one of their own. I remember having a little scrap with Elya in the Training Center, but I never imagined her to die so early. I wasn't attached or anything, but she did have the same disadvantage as me, and I'm worried it may cause me some trouble later.

I didn't want my eye to stop me from thriving. Our train ride was rater tense, none of us wanting to say, or do something that was going to set another off. Ever damn person on this train was a ticking time bomb, and I was tired of it.

We had hopped off of the train at some worthless area of this shitty arena. I'm sure some kind of bullshit would force us to have yet again another obstacle. The Capitol had a liking for making each of our life's a living hell, though I had been already living in hell before today.

They were all fools for leaving me unattended.

I needed the company of others, I would be nothing without their emotions to feed off of. I wanted someone to ensure my safety, though I didn't want the responsibility of another life in my hands. My own was plenty, I guess you could call me selfish.

I had been alone for long enough, I deserved attention/

I was doing just fine at remaining strong, I had them all believing I was still the biting viper I had been only yesterday. I couldn't let it drop, I was so afraid, so distant, but it didn't matter. There was no longer worrying about myself, or my well being. I wanted to live, and that was more clear now then ever before.

I would come out on top...stitch by stitch.

The knife dug deeper into Kirito's flesh as his grip tightened. His knuckles as white as the snow lands of the 69th Games, yet all he could see was red. Rage boiled monstrously within him and swarmed his muscles like a disease. His heart beat like a million war drums hammering at once. His eyes were locked upon their target the little bitch from two who spoke out against him. Who was she to say anything, to threaten him at all. He barely saw her at the bloodbath, now here she stood against him? Well perhaps it was time for him to spill more blood. To have his knife glint with the scarlet drops of life that ran in rivers through her body. "Ya ignorant career! Have ya not a single shred of care, of course not ya are from a district filled with lunatics! Also your little threat means nuthin'! Ya have done nuthin! I don' just got here an' already killed someone! Weren' ya careers suppose to be good at that? Guess not! Once ya actually prove to meh ya are worth a damn, once ya have killed anotha then ya can throw ya ignorant threats aroun'. Until then learn ta bite ya that tongue of ya's."

With a sudden shock Rhyme actually backed him up. He was surprised the girl from One wasn't the total ass he thought she was. Granted she did help him back in the training center, well the past him at least. Yet what shocked Kirito's body the most was the breif touch of her lips to his. What the hell was she doing? He was Ikaia's! He would never betray Ikaia! Why was this happening! Why was the guilt crashing over his commonsense sending him spiraling even more into hell? All Kirito could muster up the strength to do was grumble and walk behind them as their journey continued.

As Kirito's mind was left swirling in an unstoppable downward spiral he fumbled weakly forward. Around him vast lines scattered the sky each dauntingly reminding him of the electric fences in District Eleven. Although Kirito had personally never seen them before he had been taught that these were known as Powerline. Alas he never knew so many could exist in one place. They seemed to stretch for miles in every direction as if it was some kind of man made forest. Man made did seem to be the theme within these games considering all the places Kirito had seen so far. Still he couldn't stop thinking about Rhyme. It was too confusing, it didn't make sense. In a way it bothered him, but still the sensation wasn't bad either. It was all just too much to take in for the moment.

Thankfully they eventually stopped in the shade of several of the large posts. Yet even as the others settled down Kirito didn't. He went straight for Rhyme. He needed an answer not an action. She was a career she would know what to do. She could help him, no one can help you monster! As the threats continued to ring against the walls of Kirito's mind his hand once again found Rhyme's arm. This time though the monster wasn't yelling, still though the voice was not his own any longer. "Ya still owe meh an answa. I expect ya will give it to meh."

With a twitch of his eye Kirito released her arm and made his way solemnly away from the group. He didn't want any more interuptions like Olivia's earlier. He wanted to still believe there was a way out of the dark. A way to return to the healer he was. To shed the monstrous skin that had taken him over. What about when you kill again? The question sat heavily as the beast laughed. Get over yourself Kirito, you will be trapped forever, you are a fucking monster so show it!

Olivia never was one to compromise or make deals in reality. Words that flew from her mouth usually came out with her current emotions and the consequences of said words would be dealt with accordingly after all was said and done. As the current situation was being laid out in front of her, she knew she couldn't back down. No. She wasn't about to and she was going to stand her ground as much as he was giving back to her. As the words spewed from his mouth, she watched his tongue move with each word. She studied how his lips moved and the way his brow furrowed out of anger. She had provoked this, but he provoked first. Not even the blond seemed to care how she tried to defend her and for once, the ties that she ultimately held with those two lessened with each taunt that flew her way. Scorned for trying to help and beaten for idle threats is what caused the blood within her body to surge out of control. Thus, her mouth seemed to surge out of control in response.

"Don't blow me off you little twit. I'm not playing with you. I'm not afraid of you. I won't hesitate to show you that it isn't just an idle threat. I will never be afraid ever again. My heart has grown hard to people like you."

She spits at him, giving both him and Rhyme the deadly glare back. Tensions were rising like a fever between them and on the rise. Though, not physically responding was sending her fingers to fidget and squeeze the life out of the metal in her hands, digging her nails into the cold metal. For a mere moment, she steals a glance over to Imp. She hasn't said a thing. She wasn't responding though that was probably best. Who else would go against her? Who else in this messed up alliance would treat her as badly as her own family had? Kirito was nothing more than her brother taunting her and threatening her with his venomous tongue and Rhyme was nothing more but the mother that stood beside him. Imp? The father that stood by and watched it all and silently wish for her death as well. How did she suddenly get thrust back into her old life?

How did she manage to complete such a feat? The question though that hid in the back of her mind was simple. Would she succumb to those horrors again or take off into the wild and hope for the best?

Walking seemed to be the only thing to set her mind at ease as the group trudged on through the endless towers of crackling power. The horrible sound of lightning being contained within the wrapped lines in the miles of vast land with no hope of end. The only difference was the nests that settled on high of each. Positioned different from one to the next, the nests seemed to contain vicious little creatures, watching from above down to the prey. Chills of unease spread into each limb and down her back sending ice to prickle her skin and the formation of bumps to mar her skin.

"Saba Two, slay them should they attack." She muttered under her breath and those steps soon turned to a stop for them all. Rest was needed and she could feel the heat in her feet and was thankful for the minimal shade the towering powerlines were giving her. Though, it didn't last long when Kirito stretched out his hand and took Rhyme, one again, by the arm. Without even so much as a pinch of worry, she let her gaze divert to somewhere else as the pair disappeared. The words seemed to echo on forever.

"There is no end to these towers. I feel like we're just walking in circles" She voiced to no one in particular, though her eyes somehow met with Imp. The moment lasted just that as she took her satchel and placed it to her side and started to go through the items once more, only this time, securing the shin guards on her legs. "What do you suppose those birds are?"

The palm of my hand trails down my face, reminding myself that I have to keep it together. It's day one, and already two of us are cracking under the violent pressure the Capitol is purposely causing. They must strive off of the different, yet so similar, reactions each Tribute exhibits. A quick gaze is given Imp's way, the only one that's remained quiet through all of this. Intelligent girl is remaining uninvolved and to herself. How I wish I choose that route. But instead I feel obligated to hush everyone's nerves. And given Kirito unknowingly requested for my help first, I have to concentrate on him. Plus it's not like Olivia started off in the friendliest way.

"Both of you cool it!" I demand through gritted teeth that are attempting to conduct a calm pitch. In the past I used to despise how well Ruckus & Rhythm got along. Now that I witness these two people with familiar qualities to them, I'm so thankful they always did. Makes being the bitch that I am that much more difficult. How am I expected to be the rude attitude when these two are causing plenty of verbal conflict? "Olivia...Please." Sort of pathetic how sweet and concerned my voice becomes, but for now I have to try to separate them.

First priority is to get to safety. Correction, make sure everyone's mentally capable of getting to safety. Unwelcome voices consume Kirito's thoughts, and the only way I can think of temporally solving this is with a distraction. After a quick kiss, I make it known that we must move on. Problems can be dealt with later. He can juggle between his dilemmas and my lips for a little. They'll all be thankful when we're far from another train stopping here with potential enemies.

At one point during our hike through the infertile land, I peak over at Olivia to see her fuming with every step of hers. She looks like Rhythm when she didn't perfect something. Can't deny that she's probably furious over what Kirito and I said, especially after she was defending me. Without a second thought I stroll over to her path and wrap an arm around her, simultaneously using my other hand to gently bring down the attack I assume will erupt. "Relax, just me." I tease, squeezing her slightly as if to give a hug. "Didn't you say I had to protect you?" Is mentioned teasingly before I drop my arms back to my side. "Just saying." And with that I return to my lead in the front.

"I say we stop here." I comment, though taking the first initiative to drop my bag. Not like anyone else is claiming leadership. "We have good distances, and the terrain is just repeating." I place my reasoning even if no one's protecting against it. Seems like we all need a relaxing night. "I'll take that as an agreement." Would be nice to declare setting up camp, but it doesn't look like sponsorship gave us the luxury of that. A cold dirt floor with a bag under our heads is as good as it gets.

A hand tugs at my wrist again, though a lot more delicately this time. That question remerges to my ears, and by Kirito's voice of course. How am I supposed to ease him from a kill when I've never made one myself? Guess he doesn't realize that. I sigh deeply as I follow him a nice distances away from the others, just enough where there's privacy but we kill call out if need be. My eyes fall on him hesitantly, baffled by what to say. Should I be honest? Or deliver exactly what he's craving to hear? I study him for a moment, witnessing the desperation he holds for a sense of relief.

"I'm sorry I didn't kill her for you." Slips from the tongue that didn't know what to say seconds ago. "I broke her leg, and she could of killed me if you didn't come to help. You want someone worthy to get out, right? For it to at least be someone decent, if not yourself? I watched you patch up Circe. You're not a killer. If anyone deserves to get out of here...it's you." Not quite sure where all that came from, but hopefully it works. A reassuring grin is given to just in case though.

The mists of black roll gently out of Kirito's path. Weak beams of light touch his raw soul. The monster's control was drifting away like a ship coming out of a gruesome storm. Why had he been freed? Kirito could hear his own thoughts without rubtle. He could move his own muscles without fear. His fingers wriggled weakly as their old master returned to the reigns. How could he have been brought back from his desolation. What force had pulled him out of the misery of his core. He was still a murderer so why did he feel some what better? Then it became as clear to him a diamond shining like a star in the burning rays of a white sun. Rhyme.

Kirito's eyes swept from the dried blood on his hands to the radiating glory of the girl from district one. Why had she said such a kind thing to him when her body was as thick as titanium. Could a career contain a heart? Deep under her rough exterior could a golden heart be what drove her to dance. To say such kind words to him. Did she truly care or was she playing just another game with him. Was she just gaining his trust to betray him later Only time would answer that question he supposed.

Blinking the final dreadful drops of darkness out of his eyes Kirito smiled softly to the girl with hair as light as the feather's of a morning dove. "Thank ya, I.... I actually don' feel so bad anymore." Kirito was happy to be back in control. To have a reason to carry on but he had to admit he could still feel the beast within him lurking. Perhaps he could use that to his advantage.

Kirito's eye brows actually rose as the grim thought dwindled into his mind. If he could master the beast, learn to control it, he could simply slip from one of his states to the other. If his monster could kill but at the same time his lighter side could still glimmer through it would be perfect. It would be something that could keep him alive, all he had to do was learn to control the dark. Easy right?

Kirito found himself drawn away from his thoughts by the sound of the eager calls of an over head bird. However Kirito found himself diving out of the way as the bird dive bombed him. Yet it wasn't until the explosion went off leaving a crater a few feet from Imp that Kirito realized the bird was a bomber. Not just any bomber either it had to have been caused by another tribute. Whether it was intended for Kirito or not it didn't matter, all that Kirito knew is they would pay in blood.

Heart racing Kirito's feet pounded like hooves against the dusty ground. "Is yall okay?" He hollered out to Imp and Olivia. Although Kirito didn't really enjoy either of their company they were allies, and he had made a vow to them. Also he was a healer and if they needed him he would be there to patch them right up again. One way or another he was their healer and they would just have to deal with it.

Silence rang ever so loud around Olivia. Silence within her mind and ears for the simple fact that the blood had been been pulsing in her ears and her own heartbeat could be heard instead. It wasn't until an arm was slung over her shoulders that she was brought back to reality and the anger and irritated nature caused her to shrug off the teammate who only a little while ago, had a jab at her. She never peered at the girl, but instead kept walking as she tried to calm her about what happened, but it still didn't prove a thing to her. She was still embodying the image of her mother right there in front of her. Kirito is her brother just seething with hate and at any moment could do just about anything. Then just like that, she watched as the girl took off in front of her once again, leading the pack into ripred knows where.

Crackling of electricity made music for her to listen to. The sounds of the currents putting her at ease through the endeavor of walking and even as they finally came to a resting stop, she found solice within the crackling noise. With her head against the ground, her blue eyes peered up into the forest of powerlines and enjoyed the silence that Imp was giving. It was peaceful and very much needed. A complete turn around from the noise in the bloodbath they escaped from and the fight between her and the male ally.

"What is Chief doing." The words just seemed to flow from her lips in a whisper and her eyes seemed to close just slightly before the flittering sound of an animal caught her, alerting her to something above. Without warning, it dove at them, releasing something close to where she was sitting with Imp and the explosion sending dust piles into the air. In all the excitement, she gulped in a breath of the dust setting her lungs to seize and coughing errupted as did several choise words.

"What the hell? Who the f... they are going to pay!" She stood with purpose but when Kirito's voice sang itself into her senses, she glared at him only momentarily until she saw the turn around in both body and voice. "I've been better. Cocking her head to the side, she let the thing fall first and took her precious time opening. Being cautious at a time like this was needed when only a moment ago, her life and the lives of her allies were in danger. Only, Olivia was left to revel in the confusion of the gifts bestowed upon her.

"And what the hell am I suppose to do with this?" She questioned herself and unraveled a bit of the wire. Her fingers slid across the thin wire. With a grin to herself, she meticulously wrapped it around her own neck twice and feeling the power that one could have if she was to ever get her hands on one of the tributes.
