~The Fall~

"No stop! Please stop! Let me go! Let me go! Mom! Dad! No!" Prometheus' screams wailed through the breaking walls of the nearly destroyed shack he called a home. Fingers followed by vicious nails dug into his moon white skin trickled with streams of scarlet. His face was shoved deep into the freezing floor as tears rushed from his eyes. The men had come without warning and with one intention. All around him he watched his house break and shatter as the men ruthlessly took everything they wanted. Yet still all Prometheus could see were his parents struggling against the waves of force trying to reach him and his brother who was some where restrained behind him.

However there was something odd about them. Their voices were so calm and Prometheus could swear he heard his father sobbing. Dad never cried. Then Prometheus knew why as his screams turned into futile bellows as the tears now ripped through his cheeks like the thunder of a monumental storm. "NO! LEAVE THEM ALONE! NO! NO! NOOOO!" His voices stretched and snapped as violent sobs grasped his body. "Prom..." His parents cried out together as the man with the knife pushed them from the wall to the floor. "Take care of your brother Prom.... we love you." Then the rivers of red began to run through the floorboards and across Prometheus' face.

The world went numb as Prom's brother cried out. Prom could hear the men discussing what to do with them but shockingly they left them. Why couldn't they just kill us. Prom cried as he cradled his five year old brother in his arms. However who would be able to comfort the eight year old who had his own parents' blood dripping down his face? Certainly not the peace keepers that came and forced them out of their home. Forced them away from the only place they knew. Away from any signal of love they could remember.

~The World~

Their new home was shit. Just like plenty of other hunger riddled kids in district twelve Prom and his brother were practically left to die in an orphanage. Prom and his brother both knew they would never be adopted, no one in district twelve had the money or the food to afford another mouth. The only positive thing behind this cruel fact was the security that they would not be separated. Even if someone dared to try and remove the two from each other's company Prom wouldn't let them. His parents told him to watch out for his brother and he would. He would never allow the world hurt them again like it had before. Like it always did.

Naturally since that day Prom has never trusted another human being besides his brother. He thought that being gay alone was bad enough to not trust others due to the bullying but ever since his fall it has been ten times worse. He always asks people a million questions. He always has to make everything he and his brother eat in case of poisons. In fact Prom has truly become paranoid towards all of humanity. Many have tried to break his thick shell but every time it just seems to grow stronger and stronger.

Also since the night of his parents' death Prom has always looked down upon the world. Mostly because he can never move on past what happened. All he does is constantly assumes the worst out of people. In fact he wonders why humans were even created if they were meant to be endlessly tortured. Every aspect of his conscious is rotting with distrust and rememberance. All he ever sees is death when he looks at people. Perhaps its a form of PTSD but sadly they medical facilities in district twelve are far from capable of determining if it is or not. So instead they just leave him to drown in his doubts and his incurable sadness.

~The Broken Mirror~

Yet Prom was not only shattered emotionally by the devastation he endured but also physically. Ever since that night he has never really looked better than unhealthy. He eats but only minimally, all the "extras" he has goes straight to his brother. Some people say they can even see his bones sometime yet its not true. Sure he is skinny and as pale as the moon's light but he at least maintains enough weight to not look like a skeleton. Another sad not about Prom is just how beaten his icy blue eyes glimmer. They use to be springs of hope, but now they sit like empty sullen sockets.

As for clothing just like all the other orphans he is given the bare minimum. In all honesty the clothes he finds himself dressed in are little more than baggy rags sewn together. However he is grateful for all the cover he can get since his self confidence is non existent. Also even though cold winter winds often blow straight through the grey rags they do help as layering blankets for long freezing nights. The only exception to this style is on Reaping day where all the orphans from the Seam like him dress in grey semi less crappy rag "uniforms". Other than that its stick with what you have or die naked. Then again this was just another sign of the torture of humanity to Prom.
