Everything had to be perfect. Not a single digit unaccounted for and not a single variable untested. Every single time a mistake was made it was shameful. Neptune was the shining star of his mother's legacy. He was the cream of the crop when compared to his siblings. Which was the sole reason he could never allow himself to slip up in his strongest area of expertise. Knowledge.

For as long as Neptune could remember he had been a perfectionist. In fact many doctors believe he has a mild case of OCD due to just how obsessive he can get over things. However, he is always the most corrective during any projects he does involving the stars and numbers. Neptune can never allow just one number to be off so he triple checks them each time before moving on. Yet this has helped him immensely since he has already discovered four new constellations. Yet he has to admit all he really loves is the look of pride his mother has about his work. He was living up to the Gravity name.

Sadly though outside of numbers and stars Neptune isn't much of a social butterfly. Truthfully he is quite the opposite. Not shy to say but just overly intelligent for others around him. All he ever wants to talk about is stars and their gravitational number codes, but shockingly not many people want to hear about it. Due to this Neptune prefers to keep to himself and to allow his mind to wander any thoughts it desires.

Neptune has to admit though that much of his success in astronomy is due to his photographic memory. Being able to just look at a star chart once and remembering it forever along with each individual star's location is a great blessing. Yet his gift can also act as a curse. Images of horrible things constantly remain in his memory never fading. Such as every single brutal death that ever was in the Hunger Games. A thing most people can forget after a while, but not Neptune. He never forgets.

One thing he totally won't be forgetting is that he is one of the older children in his long expanding family. Which simply means he always has to act above and beyond his age. Even from the beginning Neptune has been the perfect child with the best grades, always excelling in school. However that was never enough so naturally he worked hard to become the best astronomer like his mother. Still though this perfection formed a deep wedge between Neptune and his siblings.

Often when his brothers and sisters would go outside to play he would be left in his room uninvited. Apparently the perfect kid was too perfect to get himself dirty. However one day when Neptune was five he was determined to prove them wrong. So when they went outside to play he came as well. Yet his siblings were cruel to him since they resented his image so they played the roughest game they could come up with. Only several minutes into the game Neptune was thrown to the ground however the pain was far worse than it should have been. That was until Neptune realized a large metal rod was sticking straight through his left leg. Luckily the leg was able to be fixed but a permanent scar and a gimpy limp remain with Neptune even to this day. Along with the fact that he tries to avoid his siblings at all costs.

However thanks to his injury Neptune was forced to stay in his bedroom for several months as he healed after his surgeries. In this time he made many leaps and bounds on his research of the stars. It was during this period that the walls of his room became littered with star map after star map. It honestly looked like a mad mans room, but it became his safe haven. Even to this day Neptune spends most of his time there or in the observatory with his mother. At least in those two places he was safe from the cruelty of his jealous siblings.

There are very few things that Neptune takes pride in besides his intellect. One of these other things would be how similar to his mother he looked. He shared her red copper hair and enticing brown eyes. He also found many similarities in their facial structures, such as their thin eyes brows and rounded chins. Yet he was not exactly like his mother since he was a boy after all. Sadly he isn't very confident in his looks as a boy thanks to his lack of muscle and the horrid scar left on his leg by his siblings. One day though he hopes to find the right person for him to not care what he looks like around, but until then he intends to stay buried beneath his clothes.

Speaking of clothes, Neptune can usually be found wearing long sleeved button up sweaters and a variety of jeans. The colors are never snappy since he doesn't want any attention, so the grays and blues are his best friends. The only time he wears anything partially notable is on Reaping Day when he wears a red button up with grey pants. Other than that he is utterly usual, and Neptune is more than okay with that.

For every constellation there are a million watchers.
