Why did I ever agree to this again? Oh right I didn't even realize it was happening. Why do I listen to my friends again? I believe because they influence me a lot more than they should. When did it become dusk, nearing to night? Apparently recently, but I haven't realized. I am being led further and further away from my home, turning right multiple times before turning left another several. Suddenly we are descending into the bowels of my home District. It doesn't take that long before the 5 of us or so enter a huge room. The room has a huge caged octagon thingy and I'm not an idiot to realize that it's for fighting.
"Why am I here?" I ask my squad.
"No time for questions." They answer. "It's your turn to fight. Have fun and good luck!" They say, before shoving me in the 8 sided shape thing expecting me to fist fight someone. They are so dead when I get out of here... But I guess for now I have to punch my opponent until they go unconscious. HOW FUN! I slowly turn to whoever I'm facing, quickly tying my long hair into a ponytail with my trusty hair tie that I always bring with me. I don't know if it's good or not but I recognize my opponent as Cole Steele, a boy from my grade, a boy who is my age. I wonder if he'll underestimate me, just like every other sexist male...
"You wouldn't hurt a little girl?" I ask innocently to start off with, knowing that my friends will be thoroughly amused before attempting a sucker punch towards his jaw. I'm not sure how off guard he would have been from this punch but I assume not that much. You must always be on your guard in a fight. The hope is that he is knocked unconscious but I'll gladly settle for a large bruise being formed as well.
How will I explain any bruises I get to my parents? They'll worry so much about their little girl if they see anything wrong. I guess I'll worry about that when it gets to that point... But for now... I just need to be victorious. That shouldn't be too hard though. Have you seen my name?
