Selecting the Select Few [Vandals|Blitz]

On the first day of training the trainer said to him only some of the most boring things he had heard in his life. Chief among them was that none of them were allowed to harm one another while here. This seemed completely against the point and quite inefficient. Still, this gathering around the trainer gave him a chance to look over all of his options. As he looked into each face he imagined a different way to kill them. He got stuck on only four faces, though he wasn't sure why, and decided to keep them in mind. At the mention of allies he thought that he perhaps had a use for those four already and gazed at each of them once more. Yes, they would do.

The trainer dismissed them and left. In seconds Someith had moved to the center of the ring and rapidly pointed at three of the four he had made a note of. "You," he gestured at the girl from Nine, "you" was the girl from Five, "and you" concluded with the girl from Eleven. They would at least make for good shields, even if he couldn't find some other use for them.

I grinned at them, my mouth a crooked split in my face. I would most assuredly be able to find at least one use for them. They might even end up being useful in fights too.

No matter what, they were mine now.
