You could say I looks like my brother, but I, Rodney Benstaloe, am a much stronger version. My hair is the same color. It is styled more to a perfection of my own liking, while with Rowdy, he had different styles. My eyes are bold and brown, just like his, but my eyebrows are much thicker. Unlike Rodrick, I actually have real facial hair, and I'm much taller than him (although I had a growths-pert after his death).

I'm a man that keeps to my opinions as it is hard for me to change my mind on most things. First impressions could very well be the only impressions, and if they are not, it takes a lot of swaying to change my opinion. At age eighteen, I still prize my possessions like a trophy on the wall. They somehow become addictions. I keep close to the things I care about, but in particular, I held on to my brother as long as I could. After his accident, I showed more love to Rowdy than I ever had before. Perhaps it was too much love as it was more than just a brother-to-brother relationship.

But our relationship didn't last long as he was reaped into the ratchet Hunger Games. He managed to survive long, but not long enough as a girl with a sword struck down on him. I could tell it hurt my family to see him dead, especially considering he didn't even know he was alive, but it hurt me the most. My father's moonshine has helped me get through the first few days without him by my side at night, but now, it has become an addiction.

Rodrick Benstaloe is still with me when I drink, so I drink for him. I drink for us.
