Dusty Thread

My dirty hands ache from the fabric factory. All day, everyday, even when the hunger games was going on, it would be work, work, work, and all just to stay alive. Why should I even stay alive? I wasn't happy and if you aren't happy then what's the point of life? I sigh and start to walk away from the factory towarxs the shabby old apartment I live in now. I flex my fingers, attempting to bring back some vitality to my aching muscles. I walk along at a swift pace, attempting to get home before dark falls completely. Just as I am about to reach my street, I slip and fall to the ground with a resounding "Oof!" That I feel echos around the whole street.

I am walking, consumed in my own thou:)ts. I had to get out of the house. Out and away from the laughing Caeser Flickerman, my eyes only slightly rimmed with red from crying. This was one of my better days in the past week. My eyes were no longer puffy and tear tracks did not stain my face.

As I walk down the street, my thoughts of Paige and Lily are all around me and I can see them everywhere. The small playground where they used to play, this street where they would run around every day. Jolting me out of my thoughts, I heard a loud oof resonate through the air.

I swiftly run towards the girl who had fallen, not much older or younger than me. I reach out a hand and say in my now quiet voice. "Hey are you ok?"
