Knocking back shooters and chasers, sending one after the other in a repeated sequence, I'd finally hit a tipping point but not too long ago. I'd slouched over the bar top of the counter, the alcohol and vodka and juices flowed from bottles into shot glasses and drinks. The sound of a blender drowned out the music that lit up the place, but only to my ears. It was a composure kept, though on the inside I felt myself spinning in a still chair, and I found control over the beasts that beckon for me to let loose and free them from a caged mind and body, though I wasn't as vulnerable as I'd once been.

"Hit me with another.", my voice only half demanded with a smirk and wink, only to get what they pleased. Propping the shot glass back to the counter from my parted lips, the bartender chuckled slightly. Leaning over, I look him right into the eyes, and it was almost like a sirens call but the urge took over and yet another bottle was tipped upside down and my glass was found only filled to the brim for but a second or two.

Readjusting bandages wrapped around skin pealed knuckles, the soft voice of a stranger rang into my ear. Turning my head, I come face to face with a girl who'd I suggest looks better on my face than the stool next to me.

"Can I have a name
so I can scream it
at the top of my lungs?"
