RINJI FERN

Having just gotten out of school for the day, Rinji was headed home. As he was walking, he was rather lost in thought. Unfortunately, this made him lose something of his as well. When he wasn't paying attention to the things around him, he dropped something out of his pocket. This item in particular was something important to him. It was a ring that he often wore, given to him by his father. He wasn't sure why he liked it so much, but he would hate to lose it. He had taken it off of his finger and put it into his pocket, as it was, of all things, interfering with him writing when he was at school. This ring fell out of his pocket, and he hadn't noticed until he was about 1000 feet down the sidewalk and had reached into his pocket to put it back on.

Crap, it's gone... he thought to himself. He had to find it now, he knew. He turned back in the direction he came to see someone around where he supposed he had dropped it. Maybe they had seen it? He just hoped that this person wouldn't have stolen it if and when they found it.

Writing Thoughts Says Hears

School was always boring, nothing but useless information that Gilmore could just throw aside for his magic and incantations to take it's place. The walk was rather tedious too. Nothing ever happened to Gilmore on his walks home, well anymore that is. A kid used to chase him and bully him, but unfortunately the kid passed away and it was all Gilmore's fault. The kid bled out right on the path that he was walking on. Gilmore quietly sighs in a way that can be seen as sadness.

A ring is what he sees on the ground. A nice and circular ring that shone perfectly in the sunlight. A lost object that needed to be given back to it's master. Gilmore had a spell for this. He knew it was somewhere in the book. His hands flipping through the pages swiftly, but that's when he saw the person out of the corner of his eye, his hand wrapping around his blue laced Agate. Gilmore spoke normally, "Uh? Excuse me? Are you looking for a ring?" Gilmore watched the other boy. His hands still wrapping around the Agate that hangs from his neck and quietly waits for an answer. An answer that he hoped to be the correct one.

The boy that Rinji had seen where he thought he dropped his ring spoke up shortly after Rinji had seen him. He appeared to be of school age, so it was likely that he had just gotten out of school for the day like Rinji did. The glinting of the golden ring could be seen in the hand of the other boy, and Rinji realized that he was being asked if he lost a ring.

"Yes, I did! Did you happen to see it anywhere?" Rinji asked him, even though he knew that the boy had clearly seen it. At this point, it was likely that Rinji was purely curious if the boy was going to be honest and give it back to its rightful owner. Having encountered thieves around the district before, Rinji knew that not everyone was completely honest. Rather recently, Rinji had had to try to catch a thief that had stolen something from a friend of his right in front of him. He hoped this boy would be honest.
