whoa looking right through me
selling my s o u l for one night

I wait in silence.
The stars drenched my flesh in kerosene and the flare of a flame in my heart ignited me - ablaze. But I do not burn. I am snow, I am the winter and all of its wind. And yet fire is kind to me.

I wait in silence.
The moon bleaches me almost colorless - I am nothing but white and silver, like a ghost. Porcelain skin, silver hair, silver eyes.
In my hands I hold a bottle with a checkered bow tied around the neck. Its contents is a sea, amber and gleaming against pale kiss of the moonlight. The taste of the alcohol already stains my lips: I had a few sips on my way down the path, just enough to get me lightly buzzed.

We agreed to meet here, Flames and I, by the oak tree just past the bend in the trail.
I wait in silence.

What Asgore doesn't know won't hurt him.

The fact that I've found a way to sneak through a loose window he thought he'd bolted up correctly. The idea that I walk around these streets visiting friends and acquaintances and those that fall somewhere in-between. The knowledge that I'm out here, in this terrible place, drinking god knows what and fucking god knows who and dancing with danger in bare feet, firecracker heart burning bright against the midnight sky as a beacon for disaster.

Snow and I decided on our one-night escapade days ago, with promises of liquor calling me through the wooded trail. She tastes like royalty. We are an odd duo, Snow and I. Grit and flames and unfiltered words meets grace and poise and wildlife. To her I may just be another exotic, rare breed of dangerous - but to me, she's freedom (if only for a night.)

I see the bottle before I see her face, hurrying towards her shadowed frame. Hands grasp at hers and the neck of the bottle before flying to her face, taking a swig and planting a kiss on her cheek. (I may or may not be already drunk - but what Asgore doesn't know won't hurt him.)

"Hey Snow" I grin.

“and men said that the blood of the stars flowed in her veins.”

It is her hair, like flames running down her back and spilling onto her shoulders, that catches my eye first. Even in the dark shrouds of midnight and pale, watery beams of moon and starlight, she is vibrant-haired and magnificent. (I don't call her Flames for nothing.)

When she reaches me, she takes the bottle from my hands and tips the bottom into the skies, letting the whiskey run swiftly down her throat. She plants a kiss on my cheek and it's like sparks brushed against my flesh - it tingles where her skin touched mine.

"Hey Snow," she says as her lips curl up the side of her face in a grin. Her breath smells of alcohol, but it's a sweet fragrance to me.

"Hey Flames," I return.

My hands find hers, and our lips collide.
Tonight is ablaze and I never knew that fire could be so sweet.

When I pull my lips away, I only lean in closer to whisper in her ear.
"I know somewhere we can be completely, and utterly, alone.
Do you want me to show you?"

There's a sun in my eyes as my hands gently tug at hers, beckoning her toward the woods.
