"Don't wear that, you'll look ridiculous." Her hands meet her hips, painted red lips drawn into a slight pout. "You're such a child Noel, here let me help you."

"You can visit them later, I want to go out now." And she pulls me across the room, leaving my protests lost somewhere in the silent halls.

"Don't talk like that! Dirty mouths are a turn off." She digs her fingers into the skin of my hips and it hurts. 

"What do you mean you're not ready?" She pulls the shirt away and she presses her lips to the bare skin and I cannot help but notice just how much it stings when she pulls them away. "Of course you're ready, I know you're ready. You love me right?" (At least you tell me I do.)

"Frankly, Noel, I don't give a shit about how they're doing. It's why I don't ask." And I swallow the lump in my throat because I know that is the truth.

"Stop that." Her nails dig into my cheeks, so sharp I'm sure that they could draw blood. "They're dead, Noel. They've been dying for a while now and you fucking knew it was coming so stop being a little bitch, I don't date bitches." And I fall when she pushes me away.

"I love you." She murmurs, wrapping my arm around her waist and her hair is long and smells like flowers. I run my hand up and down her waist, the bare skin beneath my fingertips calming as slowly I drift away.

"I love you too."
