Candles surround me on all sides. Their lights flickering in the darkness, casting shadows all around the empty room.

Darkness.

It is where I feel safest, where I am at home. I can reach out and no one is there to disturb me. It is where I can talk to them and feel at peace.

They tell me things. Sometimes messages. Sometimes secrets. I learn things you could never imagine, just by letting my soul go for a short time. It helps me learn about others, learn about myself.

Sometimes they try and get me to do things, things that should not be spoken of. I know that I should not, but it gets harder to say no every time. But somehow I am still able to resist.

They are my only friends. No one talks to me much. They find me strange. I'd rather be alone anyways, they are already my friends. They tell me terrifying things about them to make me feel better. I know more about people than you can ever imagine.

But sometimes, I fear I know too much.
