bring me to justice { iris/justice } [blitz]

My forest green eyes gently gaze upon the block of wood and stick. My hands rub quickly against the stick, spinning it round and round, hoping that smoke will begin to rise from the brown block, but no luck comes for a minute... five minutes... ten minutes.... by fifteen minutes I need to take a break. My hands have been rubbed red from trying to create a fire for fifteen minutes straight. Maybe if I had persisted a bit longer I could have coaxed the flames out of the fire, I look down at my hands, sore and aching while the indtructor goes through his lecture on friction all over again.

I kind of want to start yelling at the instructor, and I barely contain my frustration. Even in the lumber district we are granted permission to learn basic science. We never really went in depth about friction though because the capitol created curriculum assumes that we are all going to be lumberjacks with Daniel Tate's beard when we grow up. This ignorant trainer doesn't really seem to know that and I'm kind of surprised at why he isn't asking me why I don't have the stereotypical lumberjack beared.

I go back to work at the lump of wood, this time with some flint, and after a minute of scraping, sparks begin to appear. Another minute and a few sparks jump onto the wood, but not enough yet. Another minute later, a fire springs up on the wooden log. I let out a small cry of happiness, and I want to jump for joy. A smile forms on my face as I get up to move to a different station. I can let the instructor clean up my fire, but as I turn to leave, I stop suddenly in my tracks as I see a taller figure in front of me.
