I have like Five concise bios from the 7th Anniv that i think I can still use. Yell at me if I'm wrong, but here is my proof.

maybe he's contradicting himself.. but is that the point?

Paradox had always hated the concept of living. "What is the point of living through a successful life when in the end, cornering us from all sides is death itself?" he'd ask his father, a somewhat wealthy man from District Five. The thought has always danced around his brown-hair covered head, and the thoughts would continue as he saw with his dulling grey eyes the people of five, several who hadn't seen much money in their lives, become so open to death. It had always been amongst them. Those were the people that Paradox Everett understood.

Wasting so much time on schoolwork and general work likewise confused him. Years upon years of people's lives would be spent just by doing those two daily tasks, yet the end goal of life was look death in the eyes, and when he would reach out, and you would grab his hand. Dropping out of school felt like a common instinct to Paradox once he became of age to do so. He hoped that his medium-size build would help him get through life if his father's money wasn't enough for him.

Lack of obligation made Paradox feel free. No worrying about schoolwork, or any work in general. There was nothing holding him back from living his life, and his heart beated faster. Paradox always heard his mother before she passed say: "life is all about accomplishments." Paradox had loved his mother, but he didn't agree with what she said. To him, those who only work for accomplishments are not living true lives. Success is a paradox. It had taken many people thousands of days, generations to have success. He spoke to his father, "Death is coming for us, and I don't want a million failures with no true success."

He'd rather have a life with nothing but freedom. Paradox didn't want failure after failure if he wasn't promised success.
