I've spent more time with my little brother in the past few weeks than ever before. We don't train. We don't compete. Mostly, I try to avoid the topic of the games all together when I'm around him. I think he takes the blame for Pillar's death, but so do I.

My breath is fogging in front of me, and I can't help wondering if this is what someone like Justice would consider heaven, somewhere far way from the flames of that arena, where fire reigned and hope was as scorched as the barren earth around the twenty four.

It makes something as mundane as showing him the houses Pyrite and I are choosing between seem petty, almost, but I like to think any distraction is good enough for him now.
