lavender isn't much for the farm animals, but she has a soft spot for cats. she adopted a stray kitten a few years ago that she found in a ditch while walking home from school with her siblings. she named it buttermilk for its cream-colored fur. her cat follows her everywhere she goes, even to school once — she put the kitten in her bag and cut holes into it so it could breathe, but she was quickly caught after buttermilk started meowing loudly.
