Laws and Order | D12 Laws Family Plot

Plot:A home sits upon the dirt of District Twelve, a gorgeous and homely design that sends warmth through the bodies of the living. Large and strong walls that hold the structure up, like the boy who held up his legacy upon his shoulders. Names etched into the doors that line the hall when entered. Names sentenced to live a life that they never truly had been given. The first three engraved, Mitchell Laws, Jack Corradi-Laws, Carter Laws, sends a friendly reminder of the oldest that live within the white walls of the home. As the hallways lead into one another, there's a main room. Cards strewn across the tables. Games of all sorts prepared and put up onto shelves and cupboards. This was the house of cards that had no order to the chaos, except a man and woman.

Jaime Laws was a man who had seen it all. The ups and downs of everything in life. From working in the mines to dealing with businesses within the area, his riches grow. His goal in life to create a home to help the starving children and raise his own. Adopting children and orphans who needed a home. As a man of business, he made too much money for a regular District Twelve man. That's when his mother had told him to adopt kids and raise as many as possible. The idea was lodged into his head after Carter was born. Days later, he began building onto his warm home to add on for the new kids that he wanted to take care of. A home for all. Serving meals to the lost children and hungry people of District Twelve. His doors were open to anyone who needed him.

Everything was perfect, until the 74th Hunger games. The oldest of the house getting reaped into the Games. Mitchell Laws built a legacy from nothing. Sorrows were filled between the family.Tears falling from their cheeks as he rebuilt the home back up from the sorrows. It's been a year since Mitchell died, but everyone still carries a heavy heart. Welcome to the home of the Laws family where games and stories of all sorts are told within the home. Meals served for the entirety of everyone who stayed there. An orphanage of Jaime Laws' own creating, made to grow his family into something more and allow for him to have as many adopted children as he wanted to love.

This was the legacy of Mitchell Laws.

Summary: Basically, this is sort of an orphanage, but Mitchell's father adopts orphans and they get his last name and live within his home. The Laws family are rich, but having so many people within their home makes them about average in personal income. I was planning this plot long before Mitchell was reaped, but I thought now that he was to get it moving.

Yes, the family are very close to one another. Cards and games are something of a skill and art that Jaime teaches the kids. The idea of this plot is that there are "legitimate" children that were birthed by Jaime's wife and then there are adopted ones that they picked up along the way. This plot is very open to interpretation and you can ask me anything you need to know. My slack is open if you need clarification on something. You can mess around with both real children and adopted ones.

Face claims: I am not picky in what you choose to play your character. If you have a child born from Jaime, Black or brown hair would be nice for them to have. I'm not picky on eye color since I don't have his wife yet or really any sort of person to play Jaime yet. For adopted children, go wild!

Blood Laws Family

Jaime Laws - Father of the children and owner of the home - male - bio [Tom]

Father and owner of the home that carries the Laws family. A business man who used to enjoy his youth a little too much. Childish in nature, strict when needed to be, and loves card tricks of all sorts. After the Hunger Games, Jaime promised himself to become a better father to all the children, so he wouldn't fail the ideals of Mitchell Laws, his son who had become a thief. Everything he does for the home is a reminder of the kind man that Mitchell Laws had become. As he balances work and fun and homely duties, he teaches the kids what he can.

Mitchell Laws - Oldest - 19 - male - deceased - bio [Tom]

The oldest of all the children, Mitchell Laws was a thief. He liked stealing for anyone he could, except for his family. It sent a rush of adrenaline through him and lived off of that. Card tricks came to him easily and the childish games were some of the better moments of his life. At a young age, he saved a boy named Jack from a burning home, soon enough he became a brother attached to Mitchell's side for so long, until Jack betrayed him. Carter and Mitchell were closer as Mitchell wanted to protect his brother from the real world, but in the end the real world took him away. His legacy becoming the home and Carter Laws.

Carter was innocent for too long. Mitchell and Jack forced him to be as innocent as possible. They made sure to keep him out of their thieving life and only in the good life. Carter become excellent with cards and games since he was born. A natural talent for anything with chance. People believe he cheats at everything, but luck just blesses Carter Laws with everything, until Mitchell's name was pulled. As he watched his oldest brother fight for his life, Carter broke. Sorrows filling him with hatred for the world, but deep down Carter Laws is still there, just breaking.

Jack Corradi-Laws - The Original Thief - 18 - male - Bio [tom]

Jack was born into a poor family where he picked up stealing to help his parents out. That's when the home burned down as they were bad people. Mitchell was only a kind boy who saved Jack from the fire and became a hero and a legend that he looked up to, even after betraying his brother. As soon as he watched his brother be whipped for something he stole, he vowed to never steal from anywhere ever again. As Mitchell Laws perished in the games, Jack lost all sorts of belief in the world and is lost within his own mind. Barely speaking, he lives to serve the Laws family picking up any chore or activity he could. Babysitting for his mother when he could. Jack works just as much as his mother, hoping to make up for his past.
