You choke on flower petals. 

Very little seems to make sense; one beating heart in a forest of these things you've learned to stop questioning, Cam holds your hand to stop you from drowning in it all. Responsibilities kiss her cheek and you ignore it the best you can, walking bare foot through every mushroom kingdom until the sun blisters your skin- it's fine. A smile that never dies, your sister has always told you that, in a kingdom of rotting trees and ugly things, you two would always live to throne.

A name that's never fit; Xylander hanging heavy from your chest. 

An exhale- you've never known what it meant. Strumming to the beat of La in every orchestrated step, planting flowers in your hair and humming through day strolls; the night scares you. Darkness, unkind things, every creature your sister has warned you about as you strum anxious fingers on old table wood, she has your name carved in her heart. Her name in your's, two stranger girls, the forest in her rib cage the first home you've ever had. "Cam?" A whisper. An exhale, your sister returning the statement and you stumble on your words.

"Nevermind."
