It was supposed to be a simple meeting.

The first thing that she realized was different were the looks upon the peacekeepers' faces that she passed. A meeting to discuss politics with someone other than herself was going to be interesting now that peacekeepers were with her. Whoever she was to meet was a big deal. Well, as big of a deal that makes Peacekeepers stare at her. Riordan Einfallen had only passed one games ago and the wounds were still fresh, but she was fine. His death only pushed her to run for mayor that much more. A smile pulls at her lips as she glances towards other peacekeepers, curious of who she was meeting with.

Whoever it would be, she was ready. Unless it was someone like Snow, but no one ever got the pleasure to meet Snow in person. She infers that it is definitely not President Snow giving a private visit to herself. A Peacekeeper was the more likely person, which only made her curious of what a peacekeeper would want with her. They were supposed to have a search by a peacekeeper for anything that would make them not able to run or inflict their campaign in a negative way. Either way, she just smiles as she marches along. She hasn't done anything wrong ever. She's just lived a happy life as a nurse, until Riordan Einfallen passed away.

As she entered the room, she spoke calmly to the man who was in charge.

"I'm guessing this isn't a normal meeting like I thought it would be?"

With the districts hosting elections, it's a duty to make sure the candidates are fit to run for office. Wouldn't want a criminal sitting on the stage with the title of mayor. But they took me away from the comforts of the Capitol with law abiding citizens, and put me in district six. It's such a horrible place, but I move around carefully. My eyes watching everyone. I'm ready to put a kid behind bars for the rest of their life. Sadly, I can't do that today. I'm stuck in a room with my arms crossed, leaning against a wall wondering which candidate would enter first. That's when a woman who's name I didn't know walked into the room speaking rather clearly.

I don't have time for small talk. I have a duty to do, justice to serve, and I have to make sure she's fit to hold the position of mayor. Of course this isn't a normal meeting. I have things to do, questions to ask, things to go over. It's almost like an interrogation at the detention center, only she's not a prisoner. Right now she's a law abiding citizen, and I want to find a way to prove she's guilty of a crime to squash her hopes and dreams. I hold a bunch of files in my hand, and I want to know her name to make sure I'm holding the right one. I thumb through them before lifting my gaze to meet her's. "No, I suppose not."

As soon as her eyes lay upon the rather built man with files in his grasp, she can tell it was going to be an interesting meeting.

Obviously, the man was a peacekeeper there to check into what she's done in the past. A ruiner of dreams that could crush her. She wasn't afraid, not anymore. The days of feeling like a little girl in a thunderstorm were over. She's loved and lost. She's learned from the past and she would not let herself fall back into a sorrow like she used to feel. A sorrow that her nephew had learned to feel in years of being stuck with his crappy parents. He was gone now though. All she could do was focus on her own dreams. It's what he would have wanted. All she could do now was try her best to pass all of the tests to becoming a mayor and win the elections if that was possible.

It's almost as terrifying as being interrogated, but she had nothing to hide. Why hide from onlooking eyes, when your life is as boring as hers? A smile pulls at her lips as he's flipping through files. She sits down in front of him like she was being interrogated like a criminal. A serious man with a serious attitude spoke out loud. Arms curl in front of her chest, crossed like she was protecting herself. There was no reason to hide, but she felt so exposed in front of the man. Almost as if his eyes were peering into her soul, looking for secrets to unfold. She stands her ground with a smile and impatience.

"No, I suppose not."

A chuckle falls from her lips as she speaks.

"Ah, well that's okay. I have nothing to hide from you."
