Petronella Plum | District Two {WIP}

My father was always quite smart. I suppose that that’s been passed onto me, now that I think about it. He’s a doctor turned teacher that educates the older kids at the school. I’m twenty-two now, so he never got to be my teacher, but he taught me enough at home to be sure I was well-educated beyond what I learned in school. I’ve always loved my father, but eventually, I had to move out. Now, I live on my own, and I have to take care of myself.

I think I do a rather sufficient job at caring for myself. I'm responsible and hardworking. I earn my own money at my job, and I never give up on the tasks I'm given, even if they're rather difficult. It's not too often that they're very difficult, either, though, as I have quite outstanding logic skills that assist me with whatever the task at hand may be. I hope to remain this way, as I would hate to lose my intellect as I grow older.

As a child and teenager, I was one who normally kept to myself. There were a lot of people who bullied me in school for the way I dressed, as my clothing was always more practical, rather than stylish. My focus has never been on my appearance, as I find that putting too much thought into that takes away from more important things. I don't want to waste my time and money on things that I don't find important. I'd much rather spend my money on books and other things that will help me increase my knowledge, rather than extra clothing that I don't need.

Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not ugly in the least. I think that my appearance is still attractive, but perhaps not as much as some. I've been told I'm pretty by my friends, and I truly appreciate that. I do put in some effort in the way I look. It's at least more effort than I put in when I was younger, anyway. I suppose my reason for trying to present myself as better-looking than I used to be is because I want to look professional. It's important to make a good impression with the people you encounter.
