Bleeding hearts and broken wounds, they all look to me to seal the pain.
Four brothers, each of their own, a scheme so different from one and other, of course it has to be me to bind them altogether. An aunt so gracious to take the bundle of us in, except her power is limited to the loose cannons that sound every day. I am the remedy to the vendettas of the fighting club that my older brother runs, the one who kisses the bruises on the knee of my little brother. I am the mother that never was.
A light in the shadow that she left behind, no instructions on where to take it except being thrown straight into the experience. ”Momma, how do I do it?” Hours go by quickly in the day, as soon as there is time for myself; my head has already hit the pillow.
No purpose in the world but to replace the mark left behind by mother. Am I Ada Falcone or just someone else?
