"You're such a damn slut! By Ripred, is there anyone you haven't slept with?" Her harsh words sting me even worse than her hand hitting my face does. Tears stream down my cheeks, but I don't say a word. I can't argue with her. If I do, she'll just hurt me more. She's a terrible woman, but I've had to live with her ever since my parents died.

I hold myself as a confident person when I'm out and about, but around her, I'm full of fear. It's like I'm a completely different person when she shoots those insults at me. I hate her with a passion. I wish she didn't know about my various hookups, but somehow, she knew what I was doing when I was gone. I'd slept with many people, but I hated the term she used to shame me for doing so. A slut, she called me. I just wish I could escape that label, but I won't change who I am to do so.

I'm more than just a person who sleeps around. I'm a kind soul. I love to be social, and I would hate to see anyone I care about in pain. I'm not perfect, though, that's for sure. I'm very sensitive, which causes me to get offended rather easily. I'm not afraid to express myself in the way that I dress or act, but sometimes it attracts negative attention, which upsets me quite a bit.

I just wish the negative energy that's present in my life would go away.
