Rayne DeClan Age: Seventeen District 12 A gentle hand waves across the water, clearing the image that was once so clear. Blurred by the sudden action, she smiles at herself. Perfection defines her for only the moments that she can create. The projection of her former self continues to move and curl against its own will like a broken mirror showing a false reflection. Resting breaths pass and the calm returns to reveal the same image once again. Her lips form a straight line. She tucks a tuft of hair behind her ear. The amber haired beauty gazes into the water, but she looks pass the person standing in her way. Rayne looks to the future she knows will come all too soon. Her eighteenth year is beckoning her to taunt the fate of the games. A sigh escapes her lips as she snaps her attention back to the world at hand. "I am but a wanderer in this manmade life." She stands, and saunters back to the factory that enslaves her people. She wilts in her district, ruined by ruins. Her hair spills beside her cheeks, falling like her heart. She wanders in her soul, searching for goodness but destruction always follows. Her bright blue eyes survey the faces of those she passes without judgements. She feels nothing but adoration. She feels like a kindred spirit among her peers yet somehow she's so far from them all. She feels their emotions, taken over by their desires. She hurts to watch them die a little more each day. And so she inquires to find the purpose for a life that evades her. "I am the Rayne that creates the rainbow if only the sun would shine." |
