Might as well just blame it all on me. Every scrape and every tumble, the name Freddie Arcada is signed to it. It is so easy for them to turn to my face and fury just ignites in their eyes. I guess I just have that trigger y’know, I put people on the edge. At first it was quite disheartening, how intimidating can I really be? Now I just play with it, it is my power move. There is always someone out there who taps the wrong nerve and well I like to twist their arm and see the pain on their face.

Every evening I roll up to my house with dirt on my clothes and sweat on my brow, while my brother spends his day with the cushy job. Breeder of fluffy chickens. Who the fuck wants a fluffy chicken? Their meat so tender and lush and yet we only get poultry on a special day, except he sends them packed up to the Capitol. I am here contaminating my lungs in one of the refineries. Every move could be my last one in that hazardous hellhole.

My only true pal is my papa, somehow, we have always clicked. He has always been the one that I have poured all my worries onto, he just knows how to listen. Well he did until he went partially deaf. Health deteriorates everyday and I pray to ripred that the next day won’t be our last. He is working less ours at the refinery now but for the good of his health he should have retired months ago.

I just have tough luck, nothing ever goes my way and people would rather blame their own bad luck on me.
