Ikaia Miristioma

Ikaia steps up to the podium without a fear in the world. He's his own man, and maybe it's time he on ups his brother.

"Thank you all for coming out today. Thank you for giving me a chance. Kirito has been doing great things as mayor, and I want to follow in his footsteps of keeping the district going in the right direction. I want to keep up the projects he's been working on, and I want to work on a few projects of my own." He pauses looking around at everyone. "One thing I want to do is start a food pantry for everyone. I'll donate to it myself. I'll make sure everyone has enough to eat, and I'll open a place where everyone can stay warm during the winter and stay cool during the summer."

Each breath catches in the back of his throat.

"I know what it's like being hungry and not knowing where my next meal will come from. I know what it's like working endless hours in the fields and orchards trying to make ends meet but never having enough."

His head slouches forward for only a moment.

"I know what it's like losing someone and feeling like they're simply forgotten. I don't want that anymore. We'll plant more seeds and reduce the working hours in the months leading up to the harvest. Everyone will play a part as long as it's within the laws of the land. I'm a hard worker myself, and I'll be out there working too."

He pauses for a brief moment.

"I don't want anything in return. This district is important to me, and I want it to succeed in everything that it does. I want to watch this place thrive, and I hope you all give me a chance. Thanks for coming out."
