Daughter of a wealthy Capitolite family. She is banished to the Districts for starting a cult (let's call it Helter Skelter for now and maybe always) and goes around D1 decked out in diamonds and excess, recruiting people to enlightenment. Literally worships money. I wouldn't drink the koolaide at her house.

Witnesses... um... something in the Capitol that she interprets as being the Lamb of God/Lion of Judah opening the first four of the seven seals. It's probably some kind of traumatic event and she starts having dreams/premonitions/thinks she is a prophet. Talks about Helter Skelter (Beatles references and cult jokes abound) aka the end times a lot. Her parents start to freak about her ruining their family reputation, so they banish her to the Districts. While napping on the train, she dreams she is riding a white horse with a voice of thunder, a crown of raw diamond spikes atop her head as she seeks the other four prophets of the end of the world and spreads the holy word like a plague.

The sky knew what was coming long before I did. For hours it bruised itself diligently, the clouds violently purple as rain bulleted down to soak the streets of the Capitol and turn gutters into miniature waterways that might have made me daydream of gondolas on a brighter day. To weather a storm such as that one, we would have needed a battleship, but instead my little sister and I had to settle for our father's town car. Agnes had her face pressed to the glass, bouncing in her seat and screaming every time the wheels of a passing vehicle would transform a puddle into a tidal wave. Everywhere we looked, the world was imploding in water — falling from the heavens and shooting up from the earth and that was when I should have realized what was happening. Still, despite the obvious signs, it wasn't until Agnes died that I knew this was the beginning of the end.

Stars hailed down upon us as another car skidded into ours, smashing directly into the side doors and my sister's awestruck face. The first sparks of the apocalypse lit up the evening as I witnessed the glass explode and follow the rain into her skin, burning shrapnel flying out from the collision to throw brimstone into the surrounding crowd. Time was wild as the twisted skeletons of the undead cars warred with one another, sizzling and writhing in smoke. I was knocked unconscious into a pool of Agnes's blood, but don't remember, although sometimes I trick myself into believing I can see stains of red lingering on my skin. Later they would tell me, shocked over my own survival, that the only thing that saved me was the way the rivers of water in the streets swelled up to douse me through the broken windows. The terrible storm, thunder roaring like lions, loved only me. Everything else burned.

When I woke up, I thought it was all a dream. This was before I'd come to understand what a dream can be and how reality is on a slow walk backwards into nothingness. Agnes had already been laid down into the belly of the earth, innocent yet unsavable, while I continued on as if nothing had happened. My skin had been healed back to perfection, free from every scratch, bruise, and burn that had marred my flesh after the catastrophe and my black hair regrown after the flames turned it into bitter smoke. Nothing hurt. My little sister's heart had burst before my eyes in a brutal collision of steel and I felt no pain. That was not the work of doctors or medicine; that was an act of god.

Agnes was not taken for nothing and I knew this because I could feel a great spirit at work within me. It had snuck in through my wounds when I was laying within the wreckage and the surgeons had stitched me up with this holy ghost still within me, whispering to my bones and reassuring me that all things happen for a reason. The slaughter of such an innocent soul had torn not only my world apart, but everything and now only those willing to recognize the signs of the end times would survive. I told them all and while a few people were beginning to have faith in me, my family did not. After Agnes, I guess one loss felt no more difficult than another and so I was sent away. If they couldn't save their daughters from ruination of the body or mind, then my parents thought they could at least keep their reputation.

On the train to District One, I discovered the truth about dreams. The seal between the world and my understanding of it was broken as a white horse matched the beat of its hooves to the persistent drumming within my sleeping chest and I knew the rider upon its back was me. Wearing a crown of raw diamond spikes and armor hewn from victory itself, a voice of deafening thunder rang out with a declaration that I was meant to conquer disbelief and turn banishment into opportunity. The words of a great spirit were already within me, I had survived harrowing tribulation, and now the battle of the ages would begin. I would bring it.

Following after my specter was a horse born of blood. What was once within had been turned without, its heart raw upon its chest as the rider grasped reigns pulled from the creature's throat — arteries, now held within a hand that would be more than capable enough to end such a life. This rider, however, was no fool. Destined to know not only how to end a life, but to possess an intuition as to when a final breath is meant to pass, the red horseman did not simply wield the sword held within the other hand against flesh, this rider knew how bring about the destruction of peace itself.

I couldn't see a face amongst the flames snaking through the air, many tongues writhing out from the mouth of the sword, but I felt a sense of familiarity. We knew each other. Reflections within emptied veins and liquified metal, the war had begun with me and this fearsome general had led the siege. This sense of knowing might have kindled hatred in other hearts, but if Agnes's death was a symphony of destruction conducted by these hands, then there was a greater logic.

A choir of fallen souls sang within each stamp of hooves and I heard my sister's voice among their ranks. Dozens of others completed the harmony, a series of cruel and beautifully melodic screams. Some sounded resentful, forever insistent that it was not their time to die, but they were wrong. This master of war was sent to take peace from the earth as a reminder that such things are the gift of the Great Spirit and we possess only what we've been so benevolently given. Without such blessings, we will inevitably slay each other like heathens and the blood this rider spills will simply become a reminder of such basic, self-evident truths. This was not a champion of persecution foretold to me, but a victor of holy battles.

So TBH originally this was supposed to be an eight part bio because I am who I am as a person, but that was 2014 and involved now-inactive characters. I'm still attached to this character and instead of chopping this down into a concise bio or overhauling her into something new, I'm just gonna leave the other seals for posts and future plottage ~~because it was just gonna be five more dream sequence posts anyhow~~, so please forgive the abrupt ending. :hell_jobbing:
