Death blossoms with the red of a rose in this world.

The vibrancy of a rose born from death containing the legacy of her half sister is both beautiful and intriguing. The thorns left behind sharpened to the point of no return where her father smiles down upon them. Half sister or not, Arachne Bane was nothing more than the poison leaving the beautiful rose to wilt into nothing. While Hanaa Darton's death was meant to create sorrow, she laughed in front of the screen with a careful edge of bitterness in her voice. An annoyance that will never cease to continue wrapping her up in thorns, reminding her that her father had left her to suffer with her poor mother. Babied to oblivion because she couldn't handle Ara living in a world where suffering exists.

How much she wished to have coddled her forever, but Ara was better than that. She's better than most things nowadays. While her half sister did what they do best, she continues her reign as the hardened woman who doesn't let anyone in. The safety of being far enough away from her heart to keep her from breaking down. Years spent wondering why, how, and was she not enough. Her father shattered her entire being into nothing more than thorns and poison, no flower blooming from her.

She shrouds her heart in the blackness of the poison where no one will touch it without losing their mind, their spirit, and their being. Arachne Bane was just like her name, a spider's poison, lurking under the skin, ready to tear up unassuming people. Vicious tongue ready to strike at anyone with the harshness of reality. Laughing in people's faces was her favorite past time once she felt the hole in her heart, knowing it'll never be filled. Hanaa Darton and the other half sisters and brothers would never fill the hole there. An emptiness that she and all of them have to suffer with.

"Poor Hanaa, didn't even stand a chance. I'm glad she's gone."

Her voice echoes with that sputtering of poison from her words. Fingers push someone aside as she marches back through the square with a smirk and the world beneath her feet. She was above the pests in Seven, none of them were higher than her. She was the queen of this district and anyone who questioned her would crumble from her. Everyone here was nothing more than the stone to her gold. Pathetic imbeciles in her way from enjoying what little day she had left. The sun lingering over the sky in the descent to earth, rotating around her every step. The smile on her lips pointed towards the awful lumbermen getting off work, until she rolls her eyes and disappears into the afternoon.

Someone speaks up with a venom that makes her fingers twitch slightly.

"Look, it's the Bane of Seven."

Fingers twitch once more before she turns around glaring at the girl around her age. A frown on her face before she smirks once more. The words lingering in her head where they'll stay until the comfort of night and her own room where tears will be mixed with her roots. The only time her heart reveals itself beneath the layers of black poison. Eyes stare into the girl's eyes before she barely speaks of the knowledge that she knew.

"At least, I'm not fucking my best friend's father."

Jaws drop as she gives them a smile and turns on her heel, letting the two girl start a screaming fight. The peacekeepers would be coming soon and she didn't need to get her hands dirty. Not this time.

Home is nothing more than the pleasant home on the edge of the forest where the Bane house resides. Made of worn wood painted with a coat of white, that was stained green from the amount of greenery surrounding the home. The reddish wood door opens to her mother who hugs her with that friendly smile that she never returns. A mother who wanted to protect her with all of her might, but is too scared to leave her home after Arachne's father. A past that both ruined her mother and created her. The cost of a baby in this world. All of her half siblings would ruin everything again and again.

Her father is the creator of both life and pain.

The man deserved to suffer, but none of them would make him.

Despite being human scum, there was nothing more they could do.

At night, she stuffs herself under the covers where the moonlight glows barely through the knitted blanket. Tears pricking at her eyes as she knew the words of so many against her. The bane of seven. The worst human being ever. Someone who didn't deserve to walk among people, but she holds herself under this safety breaking down, telling herself she's better than them. Tear stricken eyes filling with the red blossom of the death she had seen, knowing she could be something more than all of them.

Despite this, she still wished to have the love of others.

Except, she's terrified.

How was she supposed to give her heart out, when it's already defective.

The hole lingers of a missing piece that she'll never get.

The flower blooms. Her thorns grow. The roots grown deeper.

Arachne Bane will never find peace.

In her mind, that would be okay.

She would be fine.

She was better than anyone.

This was her world and no one else's.
