Well-

That sure as hell isn't Marley.

"Oh! Hey, Bud. Marley's not home yet."

Nope. Nope. That was Marley's brother slash caregiver, the Victor man, and oh god that's a towel and that's a bare midriff and suddenly all Ollie is aware of is the fact that his shoes are looking mighty worn and his face may as well be the sun for all the heat it's giving off-

But maybe there is some sort of mercy in the world, for though he's probably never shared more than two dozen words with Mackenzie in his life, the older man steps out of the doorframe and extends an invitation. And Marley will be over soon - that works for him.

He waits a few extra seconds until Mackenzie's footfalls have receded back up the stairs before stepping in, carefully closing the door behind him. Even though he's spent so much time in this house that it's practically a third home at this point, it still never ceases to amaze him just how....nice it is inside.

He plops himself at the kitchen table, aimlessly wringing his hands, and when Mackenzie comes back down the stairs (fully dressed this time, though that does little to stop the blush from once again crossing his face nor deal with the sudden aversion to eye contact) he's somewhat prepared for the question that comes his way.

"Lemonade? Max didn't make it so it's good."

A hint of a grin crosses his face, for he knew just what the Victor was referring to, but is gone just as quickly. "Uhm, yes, thank you. Please," he said, stumbling over the words in response.

But what else was new in that regard?
